Couple coats of poly:





as you can see in the first pics, the crack is pretty visible, especially on the bottom.
sanding really smoothed it out, you can't feel it at all, and can only see it when you look for it.
the line will never disappear unfortunately, but I believe it's going to be strong enough to hold.
a few more coats of finish and I think we'll be in good shape.

 

I think the dancing banana with the poop sign is hilarious. I'm still chuckling, in fact, I showed it to my wife who happens to be in the room and she looked at me with one of those, "what?" looks on her face. We've had a lot of discussions about Guy Humor recently. I suppose the lil dude falls into the guy humor category. Oh well. Her loss.

 

Looks good. Maybe you could shave the cat who caused the problem and use the hairs to fill the brush, maybe to set an example.

Evening all..

How about the 3 Stooges? Does she like them? My wife sees absolutely no humor in them at all. When the Chicago station does a Stooges marathon I record them all. My sons and I just spend the whole day watching them and laughing our heads off. The wife just stares for a couple of minutes, shakes her head and then walks out of the room. Must be a guy thing.
