Evening all, hope everyone is alright.

Looking back through what I missed I see no one gave poor Ray any cake. No respect.

MMmm poptarts. I'm just sitting here waiting for some brownies to finish in the oven.

but he was using it as a unit of distance. Han was talking about how well the falcon was able to bend space time allowing him to complete the kessel run in that amount of distance :scared001

We would hate for you to exaggerate that number. How big is your dorm? I was once in a dorm that was a 15 story tower right next to three other 15 story towers. At the base they had a common dining area, but no restaurants or convenience store.

True, but we only assume he meant time. He could have really meant distance. Like, I am going out to stretch my legs, be back in a few clicks... In that sentence I really mean distance (km), but if I said a time unit, it would make just as much sense.

OK... I have been up since 3. I have had a few drinks, I am heading to sleep.

 

EDIT: someone once explained the theory that he was able to make the run in a shorter distance than anyone else could, is why he used distance....but, at that point in time, there wasn't a huge amount of effort put into accuracy if a term sounded cool and sci-fi-y.......so I imagine all these explanations are backtracking by Mr. Lucas

Have you ever listened to him speak about starwars? he really doesn't like it that much. I don't think he'd go through all the effort of backtracking to cover his use of parsec :happy102 he calls lightsabers laser swords, it's kind of depressing.
