Was in a bit of a rush the other day and had to alternate off of my longevity evaluation on a new straight razor honing.

Pulled out the Schick I1 injector. Not much that is faster and more maneuverable than this right here. Smallest real estate footprint on the face. Almost impossible to cut yourself. One of the few razors that easily moves from side to side on the neck. No wonder people like these things so much.

The only thing faster than a Barbasol shot in a bowl with a water add by The Blue Ming is Proraso cream in a tube directly to the face.

The Spirit of St Louis 2019 30DC Memorial Deluxe Limited Edition Flat Top Brush got the call. Wet brush right to the cream applied to the face. I think this is the softest brush I have. It really likes a softer soap and works better with painting type strokes. Generates a smooth lather. Probably not something great with a hard soap puck, but I'll try it one day.

Finished up with Stirling Lime AS, which I like because it has alcohol and witch hazel. The Lime scent is not a hanger so a couple of sprays of Piacenza EdT were in order.

Off to work I went. Fast, close and comfy.

One thing about the soft nature of this brush is that The Blue Ming is always showing up.Naturally, after the moisturizing help, I have to listen to his closed minded rhetoric about 'bowls are for lather' and stuff like that.

Well, I decided to expand the horizons for The Blue Ming and have him help me with a batch of Maryland Crab Soup.

After helping me out with this tasty treat, The Blue Ming now declares that bowls are okay for soup too.

Not really "on theme" for August but fun and delicious. Shave on!

Even though I have a birth year Slim I will pass on Adjustable August. I just don’t enjoy using the razor.

I’m in for Anything Goes August. I will continue in my efforts to finish some soaps.

Hello again fellow shavers and 30DC enthusiasts.
    Adjustable/Arko August...:signs002:
I only own one adjustable DE razor, so I might break that out this month for a change of pace.
    Arko...:rolleyes005: Ain't gonna happen.
It was mentioned that the open blade is the ultimate adjustable. I am mos def© down with that.
    Let's begin.
Mike's starts off the month with its usual fantastically slick and ethereal lather; produced with aplomb
by the ever-popular Rubberset 400/3, deftly re-knotted with an Omega Pro 49 by our own-and-only @Jayaruh
    Bravo, good sir.

My friends, if that isn't a perfect start to the month, then the ONLY thing that could
possibly surpass it would be that today is Dr. Mrs. Primo's Birthday.

Up and moving entirely too early this morning. I could have easily slept another 3 or more hours. I decided to break out the Mike's OCBP and reward myself with some fantastic lather and scent. Pulled out the OneBlade this morning. Jet lag, stupid or inattentive, the OneBlade delivers a superb shave with no effort or skill every single time. Three passes and minimal touch ups ended in a perfect drama free BBS shave. A splash of Myrsol Limon and I am off to a client site for the day. I hope everyone has a fantastic Monday.

I'm glad you made it home safely, Clint! Good idea to ease back into things with reliable and fool-proof gear.

I've heard it takes a day per hour of time change to fully recover from jet lag. That has certainly been my experience. Hopefully, you'll get caught up on rest by the weekend. Maybe you'll feel good enough to hit a Bead Show or two on Saturday. :)
