Just noticed his old shows on YT. Enjoying them more than I figured I would, makes me want to learn how.
I remember as a kid seeing him on our local PBS station. Must say that I can admire his talent, but couldn't listen to him. Auditory sleeping pill.
They have is series on Netflix as well. My 21 year old got me into his show. I never had much of an appreciation in elementary school art class, which is the only other place I had watched it, but find myself really enjoying these days. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
I've taken a session with a local setup called Painting With a Twist. Book the finished piece you like, bring a bottle of wine, they supply the materials. Then everyone meets at the studio, is instructed in a couple hours and leaves with a finished painting. It's a fun evening with friends. Everyone can hang their paintings at home. Tapatalk Spam Tag
Rick, I've still got the painting you gave me. I'm guessing you drank the wine and then did the painting?? I don't like to brag, but I know a little bit about color. Just remember...mauve is pink trying to be purple.
Here's the best part of each episode. Oh, for the days gone by when it was politically correct to sling mineral spirits.
My brother in law worked for a plumber that burnt down an apartment building. He was brazing copper fittings for a water supply repair. The painters had washed out their brushes with mineral spirits and poured it down the drain the way you're NOT supposed to do. Opps, topic drift. Here's the rest of the story.
I only watched small portions of his shows, just long enough to sort of get a sense of what he was doing and his delivery. Snooze fest. So i didn't really watch his shows when he was alive and on the air. So I sure won't be watching his reruns now.
