Yep. Same here.

Weather got miserable here for a while. Tornado warnings and all that. High winds tend to knock out our power around here. Seems that pine trees snap easily. Wimps.

But they all remained upright for a change and I'm online and happy. Yay! :happy102

I knew Micah would get it right away, and I was right.
it's Chiun (Joel Grey) from Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, based on the Destroyer novels. Talk to Micah about them, he's so involved in it he actually is working on novels for the series. He's posting the chapters he's got down on his blog.
Anyway, I thought of it (the avatar) several weeks ago when I realized I'd be getting this "Hitori Honshu of Blade Sharpining" title soon, and couldn't think of a matching avatar for it

 

Yeah, I love Chiun. A friend of mine told me about the Destroyer novels a long time ago, but I never have found any in print (granted, I haven't looked *that* hard).

Another possible avatar would have been a screen cap of Sonny Chiba playing Hattori Hanzo in Kill Bill vol. 1

Officially just myself and a female teacher. There are a few parents staying in the hotel as well. I am not so worried about them sneaking out of their rooms and being real bad as much as I am worried about them being wild in their own rooms playing phone tag, etc. all night. The tape of the door is more for in room behavior control than anything out of the rooms.

And before any of you get goofy ideas (it may be too late for some of you) we (myself and other teacher) have separate rooms.

 

So did Blade Runner happen at post 3000, or did you already have that when the Harrison Ford conversations were going on. Last I noticed you were still a product pusher.

Personally, I am happy being a Bay Rum Bogart. Much better than Mr. Clubman
