Still no find on the Century Can. @ilts and I may have the only 2 remaining on the face of the earth. Oh, and @Hoss304 -let's make it the last 3. I'm sure this post will be changed and rechanged with new discoveries lol.
The Purple can is my new favorite. It gives a shave with awesome glide and skin protection. To me it is just a tad bit better than the yellow can. Now if they will just bring the Lemon/Lime back into production. Clayton
They should have made "Century Cans" for all Barbasol types(Well, yours does come CLOSE as it acknowledges the 100 years, but I'm talkinabout the most recent one).
I must admit that while I was initially unimpressed with New Purple (Old Purple=Mountain Blast), it has become one of my favorites and I use it much more than Yellow. While it's been more than 10 years since I've seen Lemon Lime, Extra Moisturizing went away for many years and is now with us again--so there's hope. Seems nobody here ever mentions Mountain Blast. I rarely saw it in stores and never tried it as I was using hard soaps and Barbasol Cool Menthol exclusively during its run. Does anybody here miss it?
For what it's worth, here's a list of current and vintage Barbasol varieties that I've seen: Barbasol Thick & Rich Shaving Cream: Original Arctic Chill Cool Menthol Extra Moisturizing Lemon Lime Mountain Blast Pacific Rush Pacific Rush with Caffeine and Menthol Sensitive Skin Skin Conditioning Soothing Aloe Barbasol Gel: Original Extra Protection Lemon Lime Sensitive Skin Soothing Aloe Barbasol Ultra: Extra Moisturizing cream Sensitive Skin cream Extra Moisturizing gel Sensitive Skin gel Extra Protection gel Of all the retired varieties, I miss Lemon Lime the most--but that's only because I have six cans of Cool Menthol on hand. It will be a sad day in my Shave Den when the last can of Cool Menthol runs out.
I remember seeing it when I was using Arctic Chill, and Soothing Aloe (Green Can). I never got around to trying it. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk
Have you ever tried applying the lather with a brush?. I find hydrated Barbasol lather work's better. My brush makes it easier too. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk
I always use a soaked/shaken-out brush to apply Barbasol: a dollop on the end of my RazoRock Snowman does the job. You would be surprised how much less Barbasol is needed using this method versus applying by hand.
