August 4th Razor: Rex Ambassador Blade: Sharp Star (2) Brush: 30DC LE V2 Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: Arko Stirling Orange Chill witch hazel PAA unscented Star Jelly AS: Stirling Satsuma Arko/Adjustable Anniversary August Good morning! It's official. Lisa and I have been married for 30 years. I picked a wonderful woman to grow old with. Lazy day planned. Heading out to breakfast in a bit then sitting by the hot springs pool. Have a great day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
The Stirling is very nice, but when compared to the "scent" of the original AdP, RazoRock XXX is a better dupe, albeit not a better soap.
Excellent shave and report. Very cool grand daughter helping out with the lineup and photo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saturday evening August 3 - adjustable shave Rockwell 6s on plate 3 / Personna Lab Blue (3) APShaveCo Flat Top SynBad brush Stirling Port au Prince soap sample Alum Did a quick one and done shave this evening before heading over to my sister's for dinner with friends. The Stirling provided its usual reliable lather, and the "adjustable" Rockwell did its normal good job on cleaning my face. With a few buffing strokes in a couple spots to get missed patches, one pass got me to a DFS. The alum was silent and I forgot to use any splash. I didn't realise that until I went to write this report and tried to remember which splash or balm I had used, so I obviously didn't need any. The Stirling soap has excellent postshave properties, unlike Arko, which tends to leave my skin a little dry. I enjoyed a great steak dinner and good conversation with friends for a few hours. Then home for a couple hours of snoozing before my night shift on the phones. Hope everybody is having a great weekend!
Congrats again Jim. I hope you both enjoy a well deserved day relaxing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Excellent shave report John. I hope the night shift on the phones wasn’t too bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
