I just want to say that I think the Rolls PIF is a great thing y'all are doing. If I may add recommend one stipulation that I think Rolls would insist on, they (whoever gets it) need to be active.
That makes more sense and will be quicker than trying to all get to one person and then send out. OK... I know I saw a post last night/this morning about using tins for soaps and wondering or not they would rust, but I can't find it now.... Maybe I dreamt it... I have kept a glycerin soap in an circular Altoids tin without any problems. A "tin" is often made of steel with a very thin layer of tin. Tin resists corrosion and protects the base metal. However, if you decide to make your tin shiny an apply fine grit sandpaper followed by maas and whatnot, the base metal will rust and corrode.
The me is great.. I had fallen to sleep in my chair last night before you posted that. How's the Y'all today people? I had my Rolls shave a few ago. Do not own a NDC fat handle tech so used a Ball end Tech, Feather blade Nox SC and of course finished it off with tha Velva. Very nice shave.
I don't know what has been offered so far, but I have a new bottle of AV Ice Balm that I would like to add to his PIF. I would also like to add a half eaten tuna sandwich.
That would be perfect. It'd save having to find one somewhere. Oh, and the Ice Balm would be nice to throw in, to... :happy102 :happy102

Morning/afternoon folks. Slept for 11 hours but needed it after the 3 hours the night before. Will be thinking of Rolls with the Nox and fat handled tech(but no AV). Any update on the Rolls PIF? I was thinking at seems to be hard to pick a winner? Dont want to be random. Maybe a contest of sort and explanation why they deserve it. Dont want it going to some guy that is just looking for a handout Anyways....might be selling some stuff but dont know. Really slim at it is but might try to find something?

Haven't shaved yet today... the only Gillettes I have are a Milord and an open comb Old (I think) that Tracy PIDed me. Which is more like a Fatty Tech? I've got the Astra blades, Noxema, and AV. Thank you, Rodd. It seems like we're just putting together the items first. If people could brainstorm how to pick a winner, that would be great. I'll post an updated list in a bit.

Looks good. Justin had mentioned putting in for the Fat Handle Tech, but double check with him before adding to the list. Also, since we're not collecting the items centrally, when a winner is named, I'll purchase the TSD cream then and just have it shipped directly to them....
Picking a winner is going to be hard. I wouold think it needed to be someone active on TSD.. Who really loves this stuff as much as he did.,... and we do. I think I am going to mow the yard later.. I hear the neighbors at it.. do not want my yard to look bad next to theirs. Just finished perking a pot of coffee on the stove.. Life is good in Jeanerette.
Just cleaned up the fatty tech. It isn't pristine. The gold finish is worn off the handles and the base is showing. However, it has been heavily used in its life and was well loved. Going out with the family this afternoon. I was gone for the last two days and it is the last day of Spring Break. Will be back this afternoon/early evening.
I think we have commented on this before but..... I like the thought of having a razor that someone obviously used a lot in it's life time. Maybe kind of cheesy but that gives me a feeling of connecting with the past..... Always said I was born many years too late.
