Thank you Terry. Razor Rock, Yaqi and APS Shave Co have some excellent choices to give synthetic brushes a try.

Thanks Clint.....I am doing fine. Mom is still in denial about dad not coming home and we are dealing with that. I don't know how much of it is memory problems or her just being difficult. Take care!

A little enabling this morning. Grabbed this while going out the door to work. I am sitting at my desk nibbling on this stuff. If you have not tried this stuff you are missing out.

I would certainly think so, but I'm not sure of the difference between a cake soap or a puck.

Well, perhaps no difference in performance, but put a Williams cake next to any Stoylin puck soap-that's what I meant-their appearance.

    Proraso PS Red
    Razorock Blue Fougère SS
    Zenith Aluminum 2 Band Badger
    Feather DX AC (kamisori style)
    Feather AC ProGuard
    Razorock Blue Fougère AS Splash

2.5 pass DFS today. Couple of weepers, both set down errors on the first pass using a new Feather blade....oops. No biggie, the Razorock AS took care of them quickly with little feedback. The Feather PG blade, even with the extra 'help' of the guards, absolutely demands up front attention and a light touch. The Zenith 2 band created an incredible smelling slick lather from the matching Razorock shave cream. This handle easily scratches....seen just from the in/out of a brush holder (which I've since rectified by a soft covering on the arms). The Zenith 2 band badger knot easily matches the quality of the knots used in either my Darwin Drake brush or Wild West Brush Works.

Thanks all for the kind words, comments and responses yesterday!

Another busy day.....podiatrist visit for Dad, 4 taxi trips to the HS for daughter's band practices, and OH..yeah, gotta get some work done. But, I'm fresh shaven and smelling wonderful!

    Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Excellent photo and shave recap Blair. Aluminum scratches very easily. With metal handled brushes, I gave up using a brush holder to avoid the scratches.

Excellent shave and photo, Blair! I may have asked this recently, but how would you describe the Blue Fougere scent from RazoRock?

I gave our band kids a few days off to get school going. Hectic enough as it is. We'll practice again Friday after school and then we perform at a community event at the school on Saturday evening. Busy times!
