And...if anyone notices the other horrible number.....NEVER pair a 2500/250 series truck with a gasser under the hood (get a diesel). This is with me driving, and baby footing it. With Dad driving it, averaged 7.6.....

Edit: Clarification....this is a truck we inherited as Dad isn't allowed to drive anymore (doc's orders). He tried to buy my F250 w7.3 (diesel) for years, but I love it. So....he went and bought the RAM 2500 in 2015.

Not a problem at all Perry! Definitely busy. I did go look for how I described it....and found this:

So...to my newbie wet shaving nose, it's almost a tie between the Razorock Blue Fougere AS and the Wholly Raw La Fougere Parfaite AS, which I've seen referenced to being a clone of Brut AS. Yesterday, I was in a supermarket (WinCo) which has a decent shaving section and I took a quick whiff of the standard green Brut bottle (which I've never owned). I could have sworn I was smelling the WK La Fougere Parfaite....I may be totally wrong, still learning the nuances of scents....so YMMV!
    -

I'd say this still holds. It's a sweet Fougère, but prominent. I get whiffs of it all day. I'd buy it again if it is still offered (I bought on a seasonal sale). HTH!

Just having some fun, Jason. I love it when less expensive products perform as well or better than the fancy stuff. With solid technique. I maintain that a stick of Arko, an Omega boar brush, a Sharp Star blade, and a Flare Tip will provide the shave of your life. You might smell a little funky afterward. Your dog may whimper. Your family might abandon you. You may get fired or demoted...but you'll be smoooooooth...and you'll have enough Arko left over to degrease everything in your garage that runs on hydrocarbon fuel.

A few years ago, I did a soap focus comparing Arko and MdC. Arko provided a better lather with less effort than MdC. MdC lathered almost as good as Arko and smelled better. I don't have Arko today, but I still have MdC. I opted for the better scent, don't mind spending a little more effort to get the lather, and I like the cool factor of having glass MdC containers in the den.

I don't worry too much about the cost difference between Arko and MdC...as @RyX says, triple milled soaps represent pretty good value. I'm fairly certain that I'll never use up the two pucks of MdC in my den.

    August Adjustable - Melody's Choice

Stirling '19 Meet-Up Blood on Steel SS

Stirling '19 Meet-Up Blood on Steel AS
SOTD 08072019 Melodys choice.gif Got my household duties done early so I asked Melody if she wanted to assist me in a shave. Yup, especially since her non-identical twin did a few days ago. We pulled every soap out of the cabinet, sniffed, and sorted into three piles. Naw, maybe, & yup I like those. It came down to two Stirling choices; Spice (Old Spice dupe) or Blood on Steel / Tsuka. Since I told her she'd get to wear which ever she chose, choice made. She was very impressed with Jason's latest brush handle and really liked the color and softness of the knot. Since she's closer to thinking about shaving her legs I suggested she should learn to make a lather. Brush dampened and shook out, she loaded for 20-30 seconds and went to the bowl. Her paint brush strokes didn't do much so I showed her plunger like action and the bowl quickly filled. Getting the knot to splay in the bowl, she was ready to apply lather for my first pass. I relathered after my WTG & ATG passes since she'd wandered off. Rinsed and call her back for AS application. Sprinkled a good palm full of juice, rubber hands and gave me a good face slap application. She tried to rub some scent on here but her hands had applied it well, so a second sprinkle was applied and she scented up, too.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

Thursday shave: I am on the road and brought my goto travel set up, Karve with a Feather, Tabac stick and Everset brush. An excellent shave.

Last night we had a great dinner at a small but very expensive sushi joint. Good thing our meeting is in the afternoon today. Our chef also spoke English and Korean. Oh yeah, the sake was good too.
