The topic was Fine soaps, Rick. Started out about the good quality, scents, and then the smallness of their plastic tubs.

 

Been engaged in some outside of 30 Day Crew discussion with @Dirtfarmer & @EDC. I'm hoping to lure them here so we can continue cheer leading and coaching their progress and improvement.

 

Very informative, Blair. I am also a Fougere fan. The SV is tops for me, and it isn’t super close. Next, I’d probably say the scent of Maol Heliopteris- it is growing on me quickly, but is a splash only. My other Fougeres were ok- B&M Reserve Fern, Valobra Fougere- but were behind SV. I’ll get my hands on a Vintage Brut someday too, when I get a chance.

 

sv is the ticket imo..one of my few top shelf shave soaps..classy stuff..

Ive been getting wonderful shaves lately, switched out the Fatip piccolo for the Jagen David E01, a razor ive been struggling to get good shaves with, and figured out that the angle is different when compared to my other razors. "Riding the cap" gives a perfect BBS shave every time when paired with Arko, even though the gillette 7 o clock sharp edge is now on its 16th shave. Absolutely amazing razor! And Arkos performance is absolutely out of this world.

I'll take one with a (large) side of ice cream, please. A quarter pound cheeseburger disguised as sushi....hmm...let's see, we'll call it 150 calories...close enough...I think I'll try the PB&J sushi also...still only 300 calories for both. Hey, what happened to my ice cream?

Yesterday's shave was so nice I decided to go with a dupe of vintage Aqua Velva. Wonderful shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Silent alum.

Glad it was a little helpful gentlemen. Several of you 30DCers have been great with optimistic enabling (even if quietly), and I'm thankful for that. Only hoping to return the favor.

Maol Heliopteris....will check it out. B&M has been on the list too. Valobra, a new one. So many choices!

A vintage Brut. Would love too. But, my 99.9% non K.I.S.S. and skeptical side now says be wary, as experiences both with the bay and 'tsy on vintage razor purchases have forced caution.

Wow.....look at the time......gotta go taxi service then shave!
