Morning, all.

Had my Rolls shave today. First time I've used a Gillette razor since Christmastime I think. They're usually not my thing, but I did manage to get a good shave this time.

I like option B.

 

Forgive me if this seems indelicate, I will gladly remove this post if anyone finds it the least bit offensive (Just PM me), but I don't mean to offend.

The recent loss of our dear friend Rolls has prompted me to realize that we might need an official "fallen friend" avatar that we can all wear to show respect for the recently passed. Perhaps we could designate a time-period to wear it... I propose a week.

I offer this as a candidate for said avatar:



Again, if any of you find this in poor taste, please let me know. I don't wish to offend, I only want to honour a friend.

so....does anyone know if and how I can ship those old Gillette Gift Sets with the A/S and Cologne overseas to Germany?

I've got two people interested, from Germany, but the local PO said "NO." Although I think she just wanted me to clear from her window since there was a line behind me and I wasn't buying anything. UPS wants $85, and I'm sure it will wind up being more.

One of the interested parties is a well known and respected collector...

I was looking everywhere for the creepy cat avatar he used to have yesterday.

 

I like the idea. at first I was using a picture of Rolls as a tribute avatar, but wondered if it was a bit too much, then got confirmation via PM that it was for some. I also considered using one of his previous avatars, but figured the same...we associate those avatars with him, and it could be confusing.
Perhaps we could do like sports teams do when they wear a black armband or sticker with the teammate's number or initials, maybe we could put a black bar across our avatars?
or do nothing?
or just do something crazy, like Rolls would have done

 

I like the black bar idea. Maybe using the TSD logo, with a black bar or black ribbon draped...maybe I'll work on something tonight and submit it to Sparky for approval....that way it's a graphic we can download and use in the sig line or as an avatar....

Hopefully we won't need one for quite some time, though....

Maybe for Rolls, we can get a graphic of a Rolls Razor and put a black bar over it....

I believe liquid in glass containers is ok if it's < 24 oz. ...

 

Well, after calling 1-800-ASK-USPS and fiddling around for 5 minutes in their monstrosity of a menu system, I spoke with a very nice young lady who read off the "Prohibition List" to me, and the only alcohol on it was Absinthe. So the A/S & Cologne should be OK... :happy088
