I kind of thought so, too. I was on the USPS site last night, and found the same list the woman on the phone (I almost spelled that with an 'f' -- Good Lord! :happy102) read off to me. But I felt I should double check thinking maybe I missed something. After standing in line at the local PO, I got the straight "NO." That's when I called UPS and FedEX and got outrageous quotes. So I figured I'd call the USPS to see if I got a different response. So, after two "yes"es and a "no," I'm going to say "yes." If something happens at the PO later, well, if worse comes to worst I'll just refund their money and relist, I guess.....

    Thanks Rodd... :D

Hi Everybody! Back from 3 days in Miami in Techno music hell. Had the most awful travel day in my life yesterday. Big money awful. Hate the airlines.

Day 1, no. Day 2, wore a hat. got a little sunburn but not bad at all.
Had the worst travel day ever. Arrived at Miami airport at 7:30am to leave at 8am. They said I was too late AND cancelled my ticket. So to get home I had to buy a one way ticket even though I paid for a round trip ticket.
$700 and 8 hours later I was home. Upset and broke.

I would be calling and raising some hell about that one Ray.

Sitting here with no spare cash for the 'bay, but some ADs in full roar...

Think a old style Micromatic would be a fair trade for a working Esterbrook J pen, or should I sweeten the pot with a Slim or two?

    Which airline was this, Ray?

Much more than fair; I'd say an Estie with non-amazing nib in great shape should be worth about $25-$30.

Oh, hi everyone! Home for lunch, making some appointments, catching up here. The sun is shining and the snow is melting! :bounce015

Ray, they've GOT to be able to fix that. Talk to the furthest-up-the-chain manager you can get your hands on. Don't back down.

    I hope so Tom.
American is the one that had to charge me $700 to get home.

Never dealt with Northwest, but wow. That's slightly ridiculous. Were you checking any baggage? If you weren't, it would be even more crazy.
