Back in California after 28 hour trip from Cambodia, first shave is with the Lupo. Impressive performance, Yeah it's light and doesn't glide but results are outstanding. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
Adjustable Arko August!! August 8 Razor - Soviet Consul (9) Blade - (3) Soap - Arko Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip Post - Alum Third and final shave for this round with the Soviet Consul. I still like this razor better than any other Russian. It actually works!! It makes the Gillette adjustables look mild by comparison and it delivers smooth shaves everytime. Granted, if the angle gets off a bit you can get into some trouble, but hold it steady and it's a fantastic razor. Soviet engineering that works. Who'd a thunk it! The Voskhod, of course, is still smooth and sharp. I could easily run a Voskhod 4 to 6 shaves but always chooe to bail on a blade after 3. That way there are no nasty surprises. The Wolf is still a fantastic brush with the grade A Silvertip knot in a very classy and well made handle. Three passes, quiet alum, BBS. That's all folks. Friday is upon us!!!

Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk[/QUOTE] I sampled a round-table of fig scents and really liked Figuier Eden. Figuier Eden was the best 'airy' fig scent. I really was impressed by L'Artisan Premier Figuier in terms of a pure fig tree in a bottle. I ultimately went for Costume National Homme though due to the 'dried fruit' effect (like smelling fruit from a trail mix bag) along with a central fig effect. I just liked how full and forward Costume National Homme was. Fig fragrances aren't for everyone and it's not easy to find one that works. In terms of 'realism' I think L'Artisan Premier Figuier wins. In terms of likability and universal appeal, Costume National Homme just has a very enjoyable and 'happy' vibe. If you like fig scents you should smell those two. Figuier Eden is a good one though. Classy, not overdone and pleasant. I like it better than Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee, which is in the same 'airy' genre. Figuier Eden just does the 'airy' vibe better with fig than the Hermes Un Jardin. And that's saying something since Jean Claude Elena did Un Jardin and Elena is the King of 'airy', fruity scents.
