Hi Ray - Hi Jen - Hi Cal Not much happening with me tonight. Just kind of exhausted after a weekend of family drama. I've got a general POA for a couple of my cousins, 70 yr old twins that are developmentally disabled. They've taken really good care of themselves all of their lives and have been always been independent. A caregiver (contracted through the DDD) stole about $1500 in cash from them a few weeks ago. Since then, their checking acct has gone to pot (~30 bounced checks). That's when they called me. To top it off, it urns out they've been using credit cards for the last 5 years (unbeknown to their DDD caseworker, me or anyone else in the family). How can two people who's combined annual income (SSI) is less than $15k possibly get over $60 in unsecured debt? What is wrong with this world? Not sure how we're going to dig them out of this. Okay, rant off... Not really expecting advice or anything - just needed to offload. Thanks for letting me blast that out there. It's stuff like this that makes me know my own troubles aren't really so big after all.
