    August 11 SOTD:

    Razor: PAA Ascension SS
    Blade: Gillette Nacet
    Brush: PAA Starcraft
    Lather: PAA Al Fin
    Aftershave: PAA Al Fin

It was a nice Sunday shave this morning with this easy going razor and a nice scent. Two passes and DFS. Church this morning, and then probably some chores around the house. It should be a relatively easy day. I hope everyone has a great day!

Congrats Perry. That is nice to get shaving items with a family history. Alice and Wilson get a gold star for snagging the stuff for you.

    Gillette Slim J3
    Gillette 7 o’clock Yellow
    Thäter Olive Wood Synthetic
Mike’s Orange Cedar & Black Pepper
    Fine Italian Citrus Aftershave

I rubbed the Mike's shave stick across my wet face then went to work with the Thater synthetic whipping up a rich slick lather. My Feather blades will not fit in the 47 Super Speed I got from Joseph. I had a 7 o'clock blue that fit perfectly. When I decided on sticking with Feather blades, the 7 o'clock yellows were a close second. So I ordered some of the yellows to keep in the den. I decided to give the Yellow a go in the Slim this morning. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. More importantly this is the smoothest shave with the Slim that I can recall. It's not a razor I really enjoy using but the Slim might see more use with the yellow blades. A splash of Fine Italian Citrus and I am set to knock out some home chores. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Great shave, Clint! I get good shaves with my Slim, but my Fatboys are better performers.

John Schneider was a regular in the series Smallville in the early 2000s .he used to be around in the small studio next door to our volvo repair shop where indoor parts were filmed.met him and had lunch there a couple of times, saw the set etc..very cool.he drove an orange 69 road runner for fun..:).we also built volvo cars for many different movies /commercials..

Thank you Joe. I get good to great shaves with the Slim. In general, I prefer 3 piece razors to TTO razors.

lovely shave Clint,,the yellow is a fine blade..although i am biased as i only really use gillette blades in my vintage gillettes..gsb,nacet platinum, yellow, green, and spoilers..

Another excellent shave with the Stoylin Ramblin Man. It's a little warmer today than yesterday, but I'm still comfortable. I certainly wouldn't use Stoylin's Texas On Fire today-must save that one for the cold temperatures. Ditto Spice, and perhaps Baker St. too. Actually, I don't HAVE Texas On Fire, but I wouldn't use it now.
