The VC-1 is so smooth and efficient, less than 16hrs since my last shave and zero irritation, that says it all.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

Veddy nice looking J model. Some people really like the long handle. Handle length really does not make a difference most of the time. You will probably find it a mild shaver.

    Streamline Sunday
I know that I get very good Shaves with modern AC/SE Razors , but there is nothing quite like getting a similar/ probably better shave from an oldie.
Today, I used a Streamline with a fresh blade and was in no rush to get out the door for a change. Just by taking my time I can honestly say that this was one of the best Shaves I have had all week, and a real Face Stroker. For me this ER Model is the Rolls Royce of Razors which responds to a light touch and never causes me any problems.

    Cold Water Rinse
    LaToja Shaving Stick
    Jayaruh #296 Brush
    Superior Lather Catcher
    CVS CS Blade
    CWR
    Granddad's Blend

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The LaToja Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #296 Brush. I did two passes with the Superior Lather Catcher razor with a CVS CS Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The length of the handle does not make a difference for me, and mild razors are fine by me.

A nice enough Shave today, but the finish after yesterday with the "Streamline" was not in the same league.

Gillette Twinjector w/schick blade, shave 1.
    GTI1.jpg GTI2.jpg

Closest equivalent based on the injectors I've shaved with so far would most likely be my Schick M2 at the halfway setting which is 21 clicks on the adjuster dial. Main difference is the M2 is smoother and the twinjector more aggressive even though the end result is about the same.

Thanks. I have Agora Xyrisma*, Pantie Dropper*, Paradise Frost, Réunion, and Unforgiven. They are all outstanding.

*Agora Xyrisma & Pantie Dropper are the same fragrance, just different packaging. They are patterned after Drakkar Noir.

As much as I like the looks and feel of this British version of the G Bar, it is too mild for me. I never seem to get anything but a good enough for going to Work Shave, and that takes a bit of work with my type of growth.
