I have the same problem. Switch to the Dammy and the whiskers are gone.

E-R Streamline (1st Gen.). A gorgeous razor and a very underwhelming shave. I don't find the additional weight of any real benefit in handling, and the first use Gem blade was very tuggy. Bad blade possibly? I dunno but I finished with the Enders Speed-Proline which was a lot more agreeable.[IMG]

The streamline 2nd Generation can be aggressive and I found shimming the blade tang(they used the thicker Corrux blade and mine came with a strop so you could strop the blade & the razor was engineered around the thicker Corrux blade seat).
I found that tang shimmed and on 3rd shave up using a Gem coated blade was more enjoyable for me anyways, I went 7 consecutive days when testing and it was challenging to figure it strengths and few weaknesses that all razors have IMO.

I started out shimmed, it wasn't very comfortable so I took it out for the balance of the shave. Not a big difference. Tugging is not something I typically get with my other Gem-ER razors.

New razor added to my Schick injector family of great shaving razors the i2 Hydro-magic and took it out for it's 1st trail run and it did not disappoint me.
    Razor: Schick injector i2 Hydro-magic -Mfg 1954-57
    Blade: Schick (4)
Soap : Barrister & Mann Seville
    Brush: Razorock Noir 400
Preshave: wet the face & apply a little Aloe vera gel
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave: Proraso green lotion AS + witch hazel & pea size amount of Nivea balm
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs-Alum block indicated some neck irritation(new razor)=:)

It does take a bit of getting used to, so much weight in a small package but I've found that, unlike the others from that stable, the ideal angle is not so flat against the face.

Got rid of mine, I like “Streamline” or ER 1924.

Just goes to show we are all different, I learnt my SE Shaving with a Streamline as I found a Festherweight too mild.
I can do a week of Shaves with one, have no problems with a fresh blade. I get consistently good problem free Shaves
    With mine.

My attempt at a hokey shave theme, like the old rock stations this was a 2 for Tuesday shave since I used a Schick II Twin blade.

Schick I1 w/Schick II Twin blade, shave 2.
    I1.jpg

This is definitely not an I2 which is the baseline razor I am using to compare with the way it shaves. This one so far is the mildest Schick injector I've used and also the least close shaves so far.

    Wed 14th August.

    The Grosvenor [ 404 ]- mixed
    Williams Mug Soap
    Gem Micromatic - FW
    Gem S/S [ 1 ]
    Williams Aqua Velva A/S lotion

After the ER Natural Angle I decided to use the mildest of the Micromatics. The Shave was very smooth and comfortable, this Razor is quite forgiving but quite efficient, as the resultant finish was not bad at all much better than yesterday.

    Eversharp H2 Hussy
    Personna Injector

    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #376 Brush. I did two passes with the Eversharp H2 Hussy razor with a Personna Injector Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Because I'd read about Mickey Lee Soapworks closing up shop I thought I'd better try a soap before it was too late.
I'm very glad I did, it's a great performer with a beautiful lavender scent and excellent post shave.
    Happy Shaving one and all.
