Friday August 16, 2019 Karve “D” Plate Gillette 7 o’Clock Yellow Shavemac ATG LE D-01 Flat Top Savonnière du Moulin Myrsol Antesol Guerlain Habit Rouge EdT Friday at last. Everything just clicked for a wonderful shave. I soaked the end of the shave stick in the bowl along with the brush while I showered. After rubbing the soap on my face I went to work with the big Shavemac. I absolutely love face lathering with this brush. Three passes and touch ups just missed the baby. Somehow I missed a spot on my neck buffing. Oh Well. A splash of Antesol followed by Habit Rouge EdT and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.
Posted this in the wrong forum. So Sorry..... Good morning everyone. Well shaving with my ( sardine can ) Travalong razor this morning was surprisingly nice. It's a milder razor than it looks like. I only used one Feather blade because changing blades was dificult, until I figured out how to remove the handle. 3 passes on the face and head the need today to get smooth and clean. Tomorrow, I'll change the blade mid shave and probably like the shave more. Figuring out how to place your fingers, then it's smooth sailing. A light razor, so it can bounce if the blade gets worn, but with proper finger placement, no problem. No cap to ride, but again, with proper finger placement, it runs like any other razor. Just a mild manner contraption of a razor. No burn, rash, nicks or cuts. all Enjoy tp
Congrats on the successful first outing with your new razor, Terry! Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk

I mentioned that my drawer of straights contains many razors in need of serious refreshing, all but this one. More on that later... The scent of the HA product-line is stupendous. This could mos def© contend for a "desert-island" award. Face-prep was a simple shower and I smeared some HA crème into the soaked Simpson and the remnants on my face and went to work. Fairly sticky affair at first. I am sure I used too much product, but I kept at it, slowly adding H2O, until the lather "submitted" and smoothed out nicely. Completely different shaving experience shaving 3 days' growth as opposed to one day's. Just like a hot knife through butter, the Mowtown (sic) Mauler© reduced the stubble to nothing in virtually one pass. Could have called it, but needed some chin-work---and with a mustachio, it's easier to clean it up from the side, than from top to bottom. The shave was called after the second round, because the opponent refused to come out from his corner of the ring. Alum was Thayer's was The HA Aftershave Tonic was...
