I have never been to Chi town, so I can't comment on it. However, when I was in Indianapolis, I had deep dish pizza at Union Square and was surprised that it was decent. I was hungry, so anything I ate would be classified as decent. Lol! I like deep dish or Chicago style pizza, but only experienced it in NY. The NY water makes the pizza taste very good. You can take our ingredients and go to Alabama or anywhere else and it just won't taste the same. It is why transplanted NY pizza owners will have our NY water shipped so that they can market it as true NY pizza.
