My wife is concerned that I bring in so many strays. But they don't eat much, I don't have her take care of them, so she's Ok with it. tp
Aug 16 Good morning, gentlemen! Dovo Shavette shave #93 Dovo Shavette Personna Hairshaper (#11) Stirling Boar Brush Stirling Blood on Steel SS and AS I chose the Stirling setup because I won it as a set via a gift card that I won in the Dad's day fundraiser. I facelathered to a nice cushiony, slick lather with this awesome brush. Did my usual passes and cleanup to a BBS shave with a weeper and no irritation. I have not had this many shaves on this blade so I figured it must be due to my improved technique. Splashed the BoS juice with very little sting. Decided to bin this blade because I want to finish my last 7 shaves to reach 100 using a 1/2 blade. It is the method that I used when I first held this shavette and it is only fitting to reach 100 shavette shaves by doing so. Have a nice Friday guys!
Unfortunately, the service was terrible. I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon with home fries. There was only one other person in the place. Now, I am waiting for 20 minutes and quite frankly, I was growing impatient to the point that I called the waitress over and explained with my over the top NY attitude that this wasn't acceptable in my home state. 5 plates of this order and then some would have been plated and served to customers. Well, you can just imagine the look she gave me, but I could care less. I was going to be late at the convention if I didn't speak up. Needless to say, I got my breakfast, pronto. I checked to see if it was sabotaged. I didn't leave a tip, but I was not coming back. Now, mind you, I was a young, 39 year old man. I am not the man I was because 25yrs have gone and I have mellowed with age.
I know, right? For too many years I only bought the little white button mushroom. Then I tried portobellos. If you like them here's an ideaI swiped from a restaurant in Atlanta. Buy the big portobellos - 4-6" across & one per person. Break off the stem and set it cap upside down on a foil covered baking sheet. In the bowl shaped underside place cubed or thin strips of chicken breast meat (raw), cover with cheese of your choice. The original style was bleu, but I prefer Gouda, mozzarella, Parmesan, a mix of, or others. Now bake it in the oven until the chicken is fully cooked and cheese browns. The mushroom absorbs the juice from the chicken as it cooks. Very tasty any looks quite fancy for home cooking.
Sorry to hear that. They tend to hire anyone who shows up so locations vary. That kind of experience can sour your thoughts and make you avoid them. Not like they have anything special going on. It's all basic quick order fry table food, too much butter & grease. That's what makes it taste good. When I eat there I see folks reading their newspaper, sipping coffee, maybe getting a leg stretch from interstate driving. Mickey Dee's does fast food drive through faster, but not better.
I am not a fast food breakfast person. McDonald's burgers are ok, Burger King is better, but I like Wendy's the best. I get Senior soda for free and a mini Frosty for free when I show their keytag. Now, if you really want a belly bomber, then it's White Castle Hamburgers. Unfortunately, unless you are in Ohio or the NY tri-state area, you would not know about WC.
I do have to admit to liking McDonnie's coffee and French fries. At 62, I'll probably have more of the former than latter.
Wow, been at places that take forever, been at places that have either burnt the food or served it raw when it should have been cooked. I now just walk out, don't try to give them a second chance. I just let the waitress know why I'm leaving, and to get the manager. I had one manager send back the food himself, with orders to get it right. It came back not only burnt, but burnt to a crisp, someone got fired that day. I'm not a complainer, I don't make a sene, I go on an easy note. But, when a rare steak is served well done ×2, or the chicken is raw in the middle. I explain the situation, and quietly leave. We were at one place that took over 45 minutes for the food, we left after 45 minutes. 30 minutes in, we ordered out at their competitor across the street. No the manager was not happy with his staff when we left. We had a nice conversation there, then went home to a good meal and watched a nice movie. No, I don't go back. tp
