I went too far. The fresh blade and the aggressive slant along with my foolish blade-buff-feel-and-chase technique proved too much for my skin today. I went to the Alum Block, but it could not calm the irritation. So I enacted my recovery protocol of balm (moisturizer), benzoyl peroxide (shave bump/acne prevention), cortisone cream (inflammation/redness reduction) and my special Neocutis Biogel with healing factors (rarely use this expensive stuff). Hopefully I will recover enough to shave with the Red Tip tomorrow for my P&G Old Spice shave, but it seems like there is a good chance tomorrow will end up a recovery day......but maaaybe I can do a 1-pass with the grain gently and get away with it. We'll see.
