Not the best fit and finish, but I agree that it gives a very good shave.

Still the two smoothest yet efficient slants in my rotation: Merkur 37c and RR German 37

First shave with Ikon B1 Slant

Pears Transparent Soap face lather and rinse
IKon B1 Stainless Steel Slant Bulldog Handle
    Mr. PB24BA-04 Pure Badger
    Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber
    Cool washcloth rinse
Struggled with dialing in the optimum angle, which could explain the two nicks on my chin and slight neck irritation. This is one very aggressive razor with a ton of blade feel and audio feedback. Still achieved BBS in two passes, WTG and ATG. It was one of the closest shaves I’ve had in my 35 years of wet shaving.

Riding the cap works for all the slants I've used so far. Maybe you need to adjust your angle. I would love to have an ikon slant some day.

Riding the cap works well with mu Merkur 37c, RR German 37, and Maggard Slant, but the Ikon seems to be a horse of a different color, yet to be completely mastered.

My Ikon X3 doesn't like it on the cap, I get a much better shave riding the guard.

Thanks Terry. It is a great slant. despite the fact that that getting the blade alignment right is a little fussier than some.

I can see you like a smooth clean shave.
Gotta love slants for that, looking at Ikon slants, feeling the itch.

Thanks Terry. I have to say I love the B1 and Bulldog handle. The OSS handle that I use on my Maggard Slant is pretty impressive too --- a little longer and heavier.
