Fossil of monster penguin (5+ ft tall) found in New Zealand. AKA: Kneel before me, puny humans! (google translated from Dutch) https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=https://www.scientias.nl/fossiele-resten-van-monsterpinguin-ontdekt-in-nieuw-zeeland/
I'm not doing any kneeling, as I never said this story wasn't true(chuk yuk yuk yuk_) at 5"10 1/2" I'm not puny(though last I checked I was a human).
Thanks Mr. Cawtuh, and I certainly will from now on. Actually, yesterday I got it stuck in there again, but the result didn't knock me down this time.
Today was an enjoyable one. I spent some time shooting my bow, after which I met up with a friend and took her out to lunch. (I even put her back when I was done.). After our visit, I had time for some sewing (to practice a technique I am learning). Right now, my husband is cooking dinner.
"He sets himself up...brings that baby back for the aim...FIRES................aaaand SKIMS OFF THE KNEE AND ON TO THE TAGET FOR A BULLSEYE-NEVER SAW ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN MUH LIFE!".
Inspired by the bow ties I have sewn for some stuffed animals, my husband got to wondering how he would look in one. He even tied it correctly on the first try and I think he wears it well. Here he is, with fellow fashionistas;
My husband’s delusions of plumbing strike again. He knows enough to make small repairs and thinks he can make bigger ones. He “fixed” the leaky pipe under the kitchen sink, until 2 of the pieces (the pipe that comes straight down and the curved pipe to which it connects) just separated. Of course, he’s not home, so I get to mop up the mess.
It’s friggin hot here today. I need to get stuff done outside but it’s hard to do it past about 10:30am when you’re in the son... settled for a tiny bit of yard work followed by a cold shower and cold shave and then some lounging. Managed to make it out to the grocery store to pick up some stuff for this weekend’s dinners and will start drinking and cooking soon. Happy Saturday everyone
Back from he ophthalmologist. I had my pupils dilated, so I look like a giant pussycat from space. We scheduled my cataract surgery for October. I’m kind of relieved, because A)I am having increasing difficulty driving and B) my doctor is moving forward without waiting until I am half-blind.
