Broke from the edge longevity and maintenance testing on the Wacker Barbers Bride for a run with my favorite straight (and it ain't even close) the Frenchie from 52100 steel in vintage style 'multi strike forging' the My Fine Steed by Gustave Lalune.
Rasoir Sabre instructs that their tools are to be dispatched in their "shave ready" condition - without re-honing. Based on my individual unit sampling, I can see why. If I could get all my straights to shave this well, I might not have so much $20 shavette exuberance.
Used the Proraso soap, M-Bombed. A really good soap that I won't re-stock just because I like Stirling sooo much more.

Finished with Stirling Blu, which the guys at work tell me that it makes me smell like a female employee at a French brothel. Some folks have them experiences, I guess.
I'm such a Stirling Fanboy...... I love their aftershave splashes because they have both alcohol and witch hazel.
Great shave for the books.
