  7. Perry, I remember my HS fall "week-ends"....you blow half of Saturday by performing at the feetball game, then just like that it's Sunday. ONE day to "play". Then, bang....back to school. As I said, I really didn't like being in the band-I let the jerks ruin it for me-thus that made those Saturdays away from freedom seem LONGER.
  8. thank you sir..

    August 19th

First time to check in the 30DC for awhile, little time lately to browse/keep up. Busiest time of the year between family and work. Still balanced some daily time for shaving fun (and a couple projects). Rotating straights and kamisoris everyday, save for one travel shave with the Merkur Progress. New August acquisition, a J3 kamisori with rattan wrap. Beefy. Fun. The brush is also half new.....handle from WWB, knot transplanted from a Zenith copper handle boar rarely used (light evidence of the copper ring stain on the bristles still apparent). I believe a couple of you's gentlemen were thinking of transplanting a Zenith knot. Don't know if it's done this way on every Zenith, but the glue was very thick/deep....I sawed 3/8" off the bottom, and there's still easily another 3/8" of glue left. And....some seeped 'up' into the bristles like it was hung the wrong way to dry during manufacturing. Only pointing that out, cause this knot was planted very deep in it's handle, and completely different than the Omega knot I also tranplanted (using tomorrow). Still, extremely happy with my first brush project. Zenith thick and dense boar knot I love (twice as thick as the Omega 10098), with a supremely colorful handle.

    Proraso PS Red
    RazoRock Blue Fougère SS
    WWB Nebula w/Zenith Boar
    J3 8/8 Kamisori
    RazoRock Blue Fougère AS

3 Pass DFS+. J3 kamisori was used straight out of the packaging (as advised). This big boy is heavy and the largest by far of any straight or kami I've used. Smooth shaving, all business, with a touch of audible feedback. Have to shave a little slower, as landing happens sooner than expected with the large blade. Today was one of the slicker SS in my inventory, the RazoRock Blue Fougère. Along with the Zenith knot, a superbly creamy yogurt like lather today. No weepers or shenanigans to report, RR's matching AS gave little feedback. Ready for a Monday...

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

    Razor: Gillette Slim
    Blade: Gillette Nacet
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
    Lather: PAA Harvest Moon
    Aftershave: PAA Harvest Moon

A guy takes a weekend off, and falls over 500 posts behind. I pretty much won't catch up, so I hope I haven't missed anything too big.

This morning's shave was a two pass DFS with this great scent. Nice and smooth and I smell good. What better way to start a work week. I took my daughter to school today, so I skipped the gym this morning and had a relaxing morning and shave at home. I hope everyone has a great day!
