Worked through my morning shave time, up way too early. Took a late 'lunch shave' as a breather, was waiting on the PAA 'Enablers 'R Us' delivery anyway.

3 Pass DFS+. No facial nicks or weepers (more on that). Beginning to see why a few here have a deep inventory of PAA shave software. The WWB and Zenith produced a quick air whipped yogurt like incredible slickness. Today's slick seemed to beat any in recent memory including Proraso, ToBS, GFT, MWF, CF, RR, WK, Stirling...you name it. The J3Customs blade saw some CrOx and leather strop time before it's third use, and the beefy boy mowed 30 hours of growth like nothing was there. Noticed today this big blade sure holds some HEAT. I use hot running water to rinse in between swipes, and you can easily feel that heat on your face as you land and move. Finished the shave with a new option, the matching PAA Star Jelly, then the PAA AS. Wonderfully smooth and great face feel, an hour later.

Now...this J3Customs is another blade that likes to bite when you least expect it, much like my ShaveSmith kamisori. For those that might remember, the SS kami 'bit' me while unpacking.....well, the J3 kami 'bit' me today while drying. Nothing major, just a paper cut bite on the pad of the right index finger (and I get a reminder with every key typed by that finger, ouch). Found out AS burns 100x as much on a finger than a nick on the face!

But....still an awesome shave today, just pointing out this razor's attitude.

Hope it's gone well for everyone so far today, and continues on for the remainder!

I saw an email with those products. Did they rebrand the WTP line into those? Are they only available in shave sticks?

Awesome picture and report, Blair! Congrats on the new software! The CK6 is an excellent base. Don't shy away from the CK5 soap base, it's a top performer as well.

I found my Kent Comb that I knew had fallen somewhere in the bedroom. That knocks ONE item off my next Clubman order. .

 

Y'know if I ever get around to making a PAA order, I know what I want, but Smitty'll probably say "what....THAT OLD THING?" Seems he keeps coming out with new iteam after new item.

 

Very cool. The new labels are much more mature. A fourth scent, too?

I haven't tried the SC version, but I do enjoy Mystic Water's offering. One of the few soaps I'd consider tasting. I haven't but I've thought about it.

Love that term. Being The Internet stuff gets upgraded quickly. Dumpster Fires are all the rage.

Oh it gets worse. Have you bought one of these for his older brother?

They are available in sticks or small pucks, Perry. Triple Milled. Not all the same ingredients as one another (all have lanolin, no tallow and lots of stuff that sounds not that great), it appears. Blue is the WTP blue, but Gold is their Colonia (XXX) dupe. Green is a 'woodsy aromatic' and Black is a 'classic barbershop fougere'. No idea if those are dupes or not.

 

Sorry about the cut finger, Blair. The soap does sound quite good and there are quite a few fans on here.

 

Nice pair of shaves John! Moving the Ajusto-Gillettes up is more a matter of riding the cap than risking injury. Glad you shared about the Unscrew 3000. I keep seeking more aggressive / efficient. Instead of trying the less than beauty queen styling, I'll pass. How's the Mrs doing? I hope she & the littles are well.
