Interesting, Jason, thanks for the info. I grabbed a second bottle of the WTP aftershave a while back. Glad I did in case this new iteration isn't as good.

Just a fantastic report and photo Blair. You are getting pretty good at the enabling.

Trying to reduce my "screen time" while keeping up with you guys like trying to stop a forest fire while juggling flaming batons. I just can't keep up. After skimming, however, I do have a few thoughts:

    1. As usual, @jtspartan and @clint64 have posted some fantastic SOTD shots.
    2. Also, as usual, @wristwatchb is keeping the group focused and directed, ensuring minimal shenanigans.
    3. In a surpise move, Charlie is also going for the bold rope-a-dope move, actually attempting to enable the master enabler:
In my estimation, he's toying with you, Charlie. Clearly Clint is at least 4 or more adult beverages from hitting the "order" button, so this may involve some long term strategery. As such, I'd go for lots of footwork and punches rather than trying to hit the knockout blow all at once. Also, sending a gift of some of your fine Kentucky export products may also help. Also, after you send mine out, Clint might want some too;).
    4. Several of you chatty cathies should consider the Shavette-fu style multiquotes to replace multiple single reply quotes. Despite rumors of a new "Chattiest Hen" Shavey Award category for "most individual reply posts", I can definitively debunk this rumor.

Now you are helping Blair with the enabling. This is not helping my lack of willpower.

Good to see you posting again Randy. I might buy a few little things but nothing big for now. It seems I have every bill in the world due before the end of October. Asha's Tuition for Arizona State, property taxes for the home, and my income tax for 2018 (Instead of sending in the extension, I would have been better to file and pay in April.) There are more but that's enough to send my wife and I into orbit.

Same soap base as the previous WTP soaps. Blue Label is Blue Barbershop and Gold Label is XXX. The other two I believe are new scent offerings.

More follow up on Zenith vs. Omega boar knot comparison for anyone interested.

Left is a well broken in Zenith Resin handle and knot listed as 27.5x57. Center is from Zenith Copper handle listed at 28x57, WWB handle. They two knots appear the same to me, save for the obvious color difference. Right is the Omega 10098 in Jason’s 30DC v2 handle. All were dry when photographed.

Looks like maybe the zenith fibers are bleached? Maybe that's why they break in so quickly

Thank you for the dry brush follow up photo lineup Blair! Definite difference between the Zenith & Omega.
I've thought the same about Semogue boars. Haven't tried a new one, and only a previously enjoyed - Thank you Randy @BaylorGator for the 1305! For floks who have compared the two the Semogue's were softer & split as though they underwent a process prior to delivery. I'm prejudiced by my Newbie experience and thought that a new Omega was the way a brush is supposed to feel. That density difference in the Zeniths has me questioning my judgement and wanting to order one!

+1 Enabler Point to Blair @b1hart. Is someone going to start a new thread so we can keep score?

Zenith must bleach them. The left handle I’ve never done anything other than lather or wash a couple times since March with baby shampoo. It’s had many daily outings. The center knot has had several rounds of me trying to remove that copper ring stain (bleach soak). Even scrubbed it after soaking with a toothbrush. It’s still darker than the left.

The Omega has had none. It didn’t really need any break in. It was soft enough and slightly floppy on second use. I must be insensitive to new brush stiffness, cause they all seem pretty nice by the 3rd or 4th use to me.

Bristle grown on a pig, but what are the chances all the bristle came from the same pig? Or harvested the same time of year if that makes a difference. I've read the Chinese pigs are grown specifically for their bristle though I doubt the meat is wasted. Point is it's a natural product so there will be variation. Each knot maker has their source and their procedures for getting the product to market. Since I purchased my Omega's several years ago they might be from the ancestors of your boar knots so they are surely variations.
