My kids love Dutch baby pancakes. It has become a Saturday thing for us, followed by typical pancakes or waffles on Sunday. The recipe I use for a Dutch baby is pretty simple: 6 eggs, 1 c flour, 1 c milk, 3 table spoons sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and 5 table spoons of butter. Melt the butter in a 9 x 13 pan, put everything else in the blender and go to town. Pour the batter in the pan with the melted butter and bake at 425 for ~20 minutes.

excellent..lots of steady hours at work is good but not if the family unit suffers for it..while i make a little less at my current position as i did as a business owner,i carry way less stress, have more hours to myself, and can move or change jobs with little consequence or expense..in my experience at least..

Thanks Danny. We had assigned tables for meals on the cruise. We met a very nice couple from Massachusetts. They were a hoot, and we hit it off with them right away. We met another couple where the guy complained about the cruise and the food...while chomping down two main dishes every night at dinner. We had a little fun with him. ;)

Things look like they are going great for you. Good look at the fishing hole.

So back to your roots, glad to hear this chapter is behind you. I never have returned to the state of my birth.....

I am going to keep trying until I get it right.

Thanks Rick. I thought you might like the dial on this one.

Referring to a watch as a piece, discussing complications, citing lug widths, praising a watch for its functional case design coupled with the stylized combination of brushed and polished surfaces, and proclaiming "that bad boy would fly under the radar on a NATO" or "check out the killer lume" are natural steps in becoming a watch nut. You have arrived once you start identifying the watch by its reference or model number. The one in yesterday's post is model number 24205. ;)

    Google is calling!

Charlie is scary enabler, just a few weeks ago all I knew was automatic vs manual wind vs quartz. I have no progressed to lug widths and even changing bands. Alas I still have much to learn as I know about this weekend's watch is that is called an Orange Monster, I do not know reference number.

I occasionally watch a YouTuber that rates products with either a first kind of cool (for usefulness) and a second kind of cool (for the look or the vibe). I hereby rate your shave and watch with both the first and second kind of cool.

How does the coating on the Monster hold up, Keith? Is it PVD?

I am not sure what the coating is but so far so good. I have owned for about 4 years but it does not see as much wrist time as main pieces.

Thanks for the double cool rating.

    Seiko SRP311
Seiko 4R36 24-jewel hacking/handwinding/auto movement (a step up from earlier generation Monsters)
Shark teeth hour markers treated with Seiko LumiBrite
    20mm lug width
    43mm case
Slightly domed Hardlex mineral crystal with concave dive bezel to help protect the crystal
SS bracelet with a dual push-button deployant clasp and safety latch
    Solid screw-in case back
    200 m water resistance

Or you could simply say it's a Hoss, and you'd be entirely correct. As far as your weekends go, this rates up there with the Saturday morning cartoons. :git:

I was curious, so I checked. It's a PVD coating. Thanks for sharing it, Keith. It's a very nice watch.
