sol92258 I have no earthly idea

I write like a drunk monkey

in other news, my sanctuary of NASCAR tracks, Texas Motor Speedway, has been defiled...no, it wasn't my sanctuary just for the fact it's in my state, but because jeffie had never won there...now that purity has been sullied

Not to pick on them, but Dom and Bong have very, very neat handwriting. In both cases it was something that I noticed as soon as I got a package from them.

Well hell. Now I've found some expensive EDT's that interest me. Will it never end??? For 20 years I never cared about smelling pretty. All of a sudden with the soaps and the creams and the AS's and now the fragrances.

    Poop!

Yep, Bong does have nice handwriting. Mine is similar, but I wouldn't call either of us anywhere near perfect. Speaking of Bong, I'd guess we'll be hearing tales of the islands any day now...

Here's what I'd call near perfect handwriting (not mine):

Dom's handwriting is extraordinary to say the least!

Dom and Bong are both into the classic pens as well, correct? Is there any correlation?

Perhaps I should pay more attention to my pens............

    Good evening all!

My handwriting sucks! I print everything, though sometimes it looks like a mix between cursive and print.

Fountain pens interest me, but since I'm left handed it could be an ink smear nightmare. I did pick up a Lamy Safari to give it a go, no problems so far. I'm not too keen on that pen though, writing with it feels too scratchy.

I've also noticed that as I age, my handwriting seems to take on a more "classic cursive" like that of my grandmother's and others educated in the 20's & 30's.... sometimes, that is....if you noted my earlier post.....also, lately my 'n' has been looking more like a 'u' or something in between....

anyways, I digress.... here's pics of the fishing trip....

I'm with you on handwriting ability. I was taught cursive in grade school but gave it up because I couldn't read my own writing. Now I print everything and even then I have trouble. It runs in the family. My dad's handwriting is atrocious.

And as for Jeff Gordon... (very un-pc comment to follow)

that Yankee needs to pack it in and go back to California or wherever it is he's from. Leave NASCAR to the Bush beer drinking, Winston cig smoking southerners. :D

I think being from Cali would not make him a Yankee....

but I hear ya :happy088 did something happen today? I missed the race...

When I lived down south I learned that anybody not from there is a Yankee. That's how they see it anyways.

That's all kids. I'll be on sporadically the next couple days.

    Shep out.

That looks like a little pine snake (garter type snake) like we have up here only the ones here are a bit darker in color. Ours are fairly large and agressive when adults and can bite. NOT a poisonous snake but some ppl have had bad allergic reactions after being bitten.

Yeah, I was thinking it was from the pine snake family....same family as gopher snakes and bull snakes from out west....

the striped one definitely looked like a garter though....

I'm not up on my local reptiles as I should be, or used to be when I lived in AZ....of course, I encountered them much more out in AZ, too....:D

Not many snakes here in NE WI to identifiy. This is good, as I don't do snakes well at all! we have the common green grass snake that also comes in a light brown color, the pine snake, a black/yellow striped garter snake and that pretty much covers it. I live next to a lake and a small trout stream, so I see more turtles than anything, and the last few years there haven't been as many of those either. I miss watching the big female snappers laying eggs in my gardens and flower beds. The box turtle numbers are declining too.

    Why's that?

We get some huge, huge! snappers here (well, down in MD, anyway).... haha, one took the fishing pole right out of my oldest daughter's hands (she was 3 at the time, though...) It's shell was about 2½-3 ft in diameter, with a head half again as big as my fist! And that ain't a fishing story size, either! And black as night....

The DNR isn't sure of the exact reason for the population decline. I operate the weedcutting barge on 2 of the local lakes during the summer and this last summer I was unable to find 2 of my big snapper males. Snapper males are territotial and defend the same area from year to year unless pushed out by larger or a stronger male. The DNR (dept of natural resources) has been doing population studies and since I am out there every day I have to fill out reports every day.

Looks around for one of the grenades that was rolling around in here earlier....I'll be right back!
