So i lost 3 hairs from the brush today. With the trouble i am having loading this soap, i am wondering if it (soap) is too hard for it. I am considering switching to a different brush. I could bloom but i have said before that blooming a soap is a consequence of using the wrong brush.

As for the shave, i had a lightbulb monent. To help the mild set up, i had a wash with bar soap first. This really helps bring the stubble out and my shave improved accordingly. I got a comfortable BBS- shave at the cost of a touch up pass. My lather lasted the 3 passes this time.

Unfortunatly, i suspect the use of the bar soap has given me spots :(

    Onwards to shave 7.....

Another relaxing slow paced morning. I decided to pull out the 47 Super Speed one more time before Single Edge September. The handle on the BSB-2 brush is just a touch too short. However the hand tied 2 band Vie Long knot is just fantastic. The little brush had just the right balance of scrub and softness face lathering. Three passes and touch ups had the baby in range. So I lathered my lower right neck and buffed away. The little guy didn't have a chance. A splash of Fine Italian Citrus aftershave and I am ready for some serious relaxing this afternoon. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Great progress on the shave results. You can change brushes and see if it works out better for you. Personally I soak, bloom or drown all my soaps all the time.

I'll look for the Feather. Its in a box with sample blades that I considered too sharp back then . How times have changed . I've definitely never tried a B20 though.

Hello all on a lazy Sundays almost noon.
Got in late, somthing rumbled through me about 2am this morning. All better now but WOW, for a few minutes, man oh man.
Gonna go to the lake today and do some hiking. Normally I just slother some Ceaderwood stuff to keep the bugs away. So I thought I might just turn mad sientist again:signs136: and mix up a concoction that would work as AS but have the Ceaderwood sent. No reason to waste good stank just to cover it up.
A little Nevia for base, some ceader oil, a few drops, then a few drops of menthol for some cooling goodness. Well it actually worked.
Went to my Gillette Black adjustable and a Nacet blade. Goofy shave this morning. I lathered up everything from the top of the head to my neck, then shaved down starting from the top. No Charlie I didn't shave my eyebrows. I did this twice and done. It saved a lot of time and worked out nice.
Then slothered on some experiment # 14 and done.
The Arko needed a little more water in it to not dry out to quickly but it worked fine.

Well, I tried water skiing yesterday for the first time. Didn’t go well. Fun, but I didn’t ski very long. Lots of swimming and cold beverages. It’s been fun.

Sounds like you have a thirsty soap there. You're brush may shed during break in but I've also lost hairs to dry soap. Keep up at it . Ask lots of questions if need be and our knowledgeable staff here will be more than happy to assist you.

Very nice setup Clint! Enjoy your Sunday.
