Menthol Monday's Shave


Cold Water Rinse
C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream
Jayaruh #144
Enders Speed Razor

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #144 Brush. I did two passes with the Enders Speed Razor with an Enders Speed Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20), Tea Tree Antiseptic (10), Lavender (15) & Peppermint (10 drops)
Fragrance:- L'Occitane Baux

Coate’s Lime Cream today. 10 seconds to load the John’s Brushes Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette “Spoiler” Super Stainless blade still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Classic Vetiver aftershave.

This was a mega Grand Freeze which started with the Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap. That stuff is unscented for the most part and it softens up the stubble beautifully, the slickness turns your face into a skating rink, and you can really feel the cooling sensation. The Glacial Spearmint soap’s scent is so lovely, it fills the bathroom, the lather is so rich, slick, as well as bone chillingly frigid, and the postshave feeling is wonderful - never any dryness or irritation. The matching balm has that same scent and icy cold, soothing, moisturizing care, and the Arctique’s freeze is off the charts - wowwwwwwwwww! What a cracker of a shave this was - FOUR passes because I wanted to enjoy the lather to the max. BBS as could be!

Mighty fine shave to start the week with. Really like the Viking SS; lathers easily, nice scent and gives great skincare. So, all the parts liked each other and all is well. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

I needed an ultra close shave this morning and reached for what might possibly be the smoothest and closest shaving razor there is. I’m talking about @twhite ‘s Bunny razor. In this case, the V2. It didn’t disappoint. I’m good for at least 36 hours before stubble becomes noticeable again. Amazing shave.
