  1. Thank you Jason. I don’t want to over power the wonderful scent with menthol so I’ll leave it alone.

  2. Unfortunately, no brush for this trip. I am going to use the arko as my bath and shaving soaps plus insect repellent.
  3. Thanks, Jason.

  4. Unsupported solo trip. Carrying 2 tubes, a patch kit, tools, extra chain link, brake cable etc... I will be carrying everything I need, including water filtration, and camping along the way. It will be a limited amount of food, but I can stop along the way to get more as needed. It comes down to have or want... Don't skimp on things that keep you safe, but everything else is negotiable. Since this is my first multi-day solo trip I am taking an easier route and biking the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O trail with a stop in West Virginia to see a friend. More info on it here. https://gaptrail.org/
  5. OK, I'll get off the multiquote thing. I'll just have to surrender and admit that I can no longer keep up.

  6. Just checking if you are the pot or the kettle this time? I keep forgetting which one I am. They may call me "Fancypants", but I've seen much of your razor collection, and gotta say your pants ain't exactly plain, brother!
    :)
  7. @RyX - Not the lack of multiquotes. Hopefully the Czar will be pleased and award me with fake cookies. Although, after tasting the Cartel's frozen custard, I'm not sure why they are even bothering with fake cookies. Probably a cost issue - fake cookies are cheaper and easier to fake ship than real custard.
  8. In shaving news, I switched out to gear I don't use as often. My Delta Echo Slim, a new feather blade, my @jtspartan custom walnut handle with a 26mm maseto knot, and Chiseled Face Cinnawood Boroka LE soap. All good stuff. Despite not having used it in a long time, the soap smells great and is definitely "custard worthy".
  9. Does he have any razors for sale? :signs002:

  10. You sir are one tough man!
  11. You do seem to be making great progress. Also, don't be afraid of having the soap lather up a bit while loading. Some guys here actually make their lather directly from the puck, adding water as they go. They call it the "supergoop" method. It's not my thing, but more soap plus more water is gonna make more lather, so no worries if it gets a little sloppy on the puck. All that matters in the end is the shave.

  12. I bought a blue and black bowl WS soap thinking they were different (they are not) and after suffering soap shrinkage on the blue bowl (see here) i decided to use it up on my last trip. Worked great as both a shaving soap and general bath soap!!!!

  15. Hee hee! No Peaches, just me. I could be wrong, but Peaches strikes me as a Cali Girl. Could be all wrong, never met her or invited her to a shave meet. Last I looked she'd taken down her insightful soliloquies. Only the Ninjas know.

Ride safe, Sir! Carrying your phone and a solar charger? That gives GPS, flashlight, & camera in a small package.
Sorry Randy! Maybe you took me wrong. Shavette Fu Mulit Quotes are a time honored tradition. Each poster has to decide for themselves when it's appropriate. Sometimes when I get behind reading posts, I'll go through every post, quote what I want, then open up several tabs and sort out for topics; SOTD thanks, other shave related discussion, Shenanigans, etc. Only downside of that process is forgetting why I quoted someone, and sometimes TSD gets wacky with the attached Charlie @wristwatchb style graphics.
And have you seen his watches?
    Have I seen your watches??
    Anyone bought a watch lately???
