Thanks, Jim! It's a great feeling to accomplish 100 traditional straight shaves and 100 shavette shaves. I believe it is quite rare for a wetshaver to have that many shaves for each type of razor because one either continues with one and not the other.

Thank you so much, Gary! When I bought my shavette in Oct 2018, I didn't think I was going to be able to shave with it. Fortunately, I was so wrong that it opened the way for me to try traditional straights. It's been 10 months since I started straight razor shaving and the progress that I have made just boggles my mind. Stropping, refreshing and honing my razors have also been fun. Honestly, I was intimidated by it all. Gary, I want to thank you for following and encouraging me on my journey.

Thanks Clint! I got out and about today. Visited a shop and checked what they stocked. Couple of Casio looked interesting in the case. On my wrist (7-3/4") the MRW-210H-7AVCF looked like an adults watch on a child. Fifty millimeter is not my style. The MTD1080-7 ATN Was less plasticy being stainless steel. It specs the same size case but isn't quite the clown shoes. Both battery fed so they dropped way down on my list. Walmart just doesn't carry what I'm looking for.
Thanks Danny! Yeah, that. As I wear through the lumps the scent and lather will change. I just might keep it on this channel and see how the story unfolds. ;)
Ooo, new to me makers! Googling...
Yup. Glad the youngest I'm wrangling is almost four. Logic still doesn't work, but we can talk about.
    Thanks Terry!
Thanks Jason! It's on the sweeter side, with a good bit of citrus.
One of the reviews said "I did not get, first zamowienie on and odrazu kliklem stainless received as dojdzie it zmienie ocene" With a review like that I'm not sure I want one within 10 feet of my wrist or anything else flammable.
    Thanks Jim!

David, you reached the goal. Going Industrial might not be the favored option, but there is a path with that gear. I'd count that a success!
Jim, is that vintage Shulton Old Spice? The bottle looks old school.

I've got a number of samples I pulled from back in a Soap Passaround. Lost the guide that told me what number was which product. Perfect to make or add to a Frankensoap, except this one is acting right at the moment. I may just keep cruising until I get tired of it, then do a refill knowing it will change.

No faffing with the brush and soap today. I just used the damp brush to pick up of the puck and not worry about getting it all in one go. As it happened, i got two passes from the 1st loading.

I like the brush as well, particularly the size of the handle. It is the perfect length for face lathering as i can feel the knot when doing so. The brush is badger soft but with a bit of backbone from the boar. The loft could be a bit bigger though.

#4 on the blade. As is usual for me, these blade top out here. I have a tough stubble so once the edge goes i lose the closeness of the shave and i find myself over buffing. I got away with it today though.

I had a BBS- and i think this is getting to the limit of what this combo can do. I am also thinking that this isn't a bad thing. My face is ok at thw moment. No shaving rash etc and if keeping at BBS- means no shaving bumps etc, i may have found a sweet spot.

I finished today's shave with an aftershave lotion (Modus).

    A good shave today.

you are most welcome sir for the little i have done..i have learned by watching yours and others progress as well.i am now taking steps to acquire a straight razor to dabble with and maybe become a proficient straight razor AND de shaver.i am also getting my canadian schick e3 and eveready se back for for a retrial..i am not bored with my beloved gillettes, actually far from it, but now i feel experienced enough with them to try others without confusion and make real comparisons .i am sure you will be watching and following along..:)

300 posts and 1 hour of reading. All I can say is I really enjoyed it immensely . Seen some wonderful gear , beautiful photos , enabling , hilarious anecdotes, and its so good to see some new guys joining us and keeping the tradition alive. Also great to see a few guys posting again that we don't see as often anymore as life gets in the way and we all get busy. Also sorry for the long multiquote .

No shave yesterday as I was late getting home and my head was sore . Had to return my Stanley hammer due to a manufacturer defect which caused the face to mushroom and become very unsafe. It was a replacement for the Estwing I've used for 15 years which was stolen . After some negotiations I coughed up under 7 bucks and they exchanged the Stanley for another Estwing.
Stopped off at my friends sons hockey game and while there was hit in the head with a puck that escaped the proctective netting. Didnt seem to hurt more than my pride at the time but gave me a nice lump after. Better out than in they say.
On a positive note I received a package in the mail from Randy @BaylorGator from the 2019 "shavey awards " to which I will use in todays shave and post later . Thank you Randy for your generous gift.
