And now......it's time for....another edition of.......the Frrrrrrrrrrrrriday Files:

-Someone here wrote a post introducing us to an international shave co. Forgot the name and forgot the MEMBER's name. Looks like a good company, but it's mostly razors and blades(perhaps I shouldn't have said "but", as I'm probably the only one here who doesn't use fancy razors and blades...although I've tried before and may again). Nice looking brushes though....perhaps I'll buy one.

-With the expected arrival today of my Central Texas Soaps products(Weekend Rodeo SS&AS), I should be complete with my goal of having MANLY -smelling items(Barbershop, Oud Wood, Musk,Leather, and various Cologne Dupes). Course we can't discount Aqua Velva AS and the AS&Cologne, as well as the WSP soap(the latter two of which Jack Palance would probably describe as "sexahhhh....don't you think?"-if he did a TV commercial for them, as he did for Skin Bracer). By the way, my WSP soap is Mahogony. Musk is the main feature, but some other goodies flipped in.

-As has been implied in here, I most definitely need to be more comfortable in the late spring&summer seasons here. Having Aqua Velva is nice of course, but some of these artisan soaps and aftershaves are Aqua Velva on steroids(as we all know). I have a glacial aftershave for now-need to get more of de cold stuff.

@Trigger , I'm afraid I deserve another A- today....same products as yesterday, still some whiskers on the right. I did a LITTLE better than yesterday, but A LITTLE doesn't wipe out the - imo. Doing a soap tomorrow-let's see if I can work my way up to an A.

Paul, an A- is always a great shave. In my grading system, a C shave would be worrisome and there isn't anyone in this group that would ever get below an A-, let alone a C grade.

Joe, I was going to say a deuce of A- grades should be a B. But taken from your nice message, we'll call it "A- AGAIN". :).

This brush is a badger/boar mix and hard soaps don't do well with Badgers ( at least not in my experience).
For this 30 day stint, i am thinking the soap is the knot in the string. Everything else is workable but the soap is the one thing i keep tripping up on and i can't get it nailed down enough to facilitate a great shave.

I am so tempted to try a different brush for one shave only to see if this opens up the shave or (k)not.
