Always admire your photos, Guy. The western theme is great. (Nice gear, too!)

    Pre: Cold water splash
    Brush: Yaqi 24mm 2BF
    Soap: TOBS Jermyn St.
    Razor: Yaqi Mellon, Razorock Halo
    Blade: Polsilver Lodz
Post: Cold water rinse, 4711 ASL

A couple of new items today, both from the Yaqi stable.
The brush is excellent, very soft yet firm and the handle, where a lot of budget brushes fall down, is well finished, quality resin.
The DOC head at first glance looked really well finished but after further inspection I felt a couple of burrs, one on a stud/post that keeps the blade in place and the other on an end tooth. The blade is held firmly in place with even blade exposure and as both burrs are on the underside of the razor head they didn't affect the shave.
A very good shave it was too. A mild razor in the same ballpark as the WS Sticky, and like the Sticky it's surprisingly efficient.
All in all, both items are money well spent.
Not only is my face smiling my wallet is too.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Wilkinson day 7
    RVT Frosty Bay Rum SS
    Prep ASB
    Krampert’s Bay Rum AS Splash

I’ll have to try to get some more Wilkinson blades because I don’t have any others right now and I pretty well finished off this one. They’re really sharp, smooth, as well as very forgiving especially in my 1950s Super Speed. The scent of this Frosty Bay Rum soap is magnificent - spicy, sweet, and clovey, the lather buried my face, the slickness was superb, and the menthol sensation, although not that strong still felt nice and cooling. The Prep, together with the Krampert’s Bay Rum aftershave were a scent combination made in heaven. Three passes with some touching up were necessary to get the desired BBS results but I got ‘em and I enjoyed every minute of this shave!

Henri et Victoria Cognac & Cuban Cigars today. 20 seconds to load the Henri et Victoria High Mountain White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette “Spoiler” Super Stainless blade still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Barbershop aftershave.

Thanks Primo. I bought a used paladin from one of our fellow wet shavers and it arrived with a cracked handle. So i bought the handle from That Darn Rob, and Bob at elite shaving loaded her up. That darn Rob makes great handles - esp love his Ivory stock. Looks like celestino antique Ivory that he rolls out. Celestino - i am ready to baby sit that one for you.
