I've never used a shampoo "bar" before. I suppose you just rub it ferociously into your hand(s) and apply as you would any shampoo?
Easiest shampoo you’ll ever have. No ferocity required. Lightly rub the bar directly on your hair until you get the desired lather. I wear my hair short, and it’s thinning, so I literally rub it on my hair for about 2 seconds. I have soft water and it lathers up fast and full. With just that amount I have enough excess lather to apply some extra any other place I wish......lol. Usually down my back. My wife has a full head of long hair and it didn’t work for her. She said it took too long to lather (opposite of my experience). I think part of that was that our water softener was broken at the time she tried it. But long hair will certainly require more product and more effort. For $5, you owe it to yourself to try! I did try a menthol version, only once, because I don’t want menthol in my eyes, so consider that. Others here have said they enjoy a mentholated soap on other parts of their body... . YMMV!

I am going to be joining your protest boycotting of the Stirling-Turner Awards this year in solidarity with you, Edison - for the same reason.
Looks like a very good Stoylin week for me to kick off Stoylin September: 2 shave soaps, 4 aftershaves and of course the daily hand-washes with Xecutive Man. Note: Some of the shave soaps and aftershaves will be repeats from previous days.
And now an update-switching my aftershave plan for tomorrow makes for 5 straight Stoylin aftershaves(throughout the "school week"-well, including tomorrow when school isn't necessary. )
Uh...LADIES&GENTLEMEN: It's time once again for the 2020 Stoylin Tony Awards Nominatins-Day 4. First, I believe @NTR deserves an appreciation for his advocacy involving Stoylin and Pasteur's Pharmacy. Because of him, PP now has additional Stoylin products that they didn't have before. Thank you @NTR, we need people like you. Happy Labor Day! Now let's get on with the matter at hand. The two items to be nominated on this Labor Day edition are: A.S.-Stoylin Gentleman Brush-Synthetic Kong, 26 X 63. The floor may be open for discussion at this time. See you Thanksgiving!
Happy Labour Day! Menthol Monday: Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Shark day 2 Stirling Glacial Black Cherry SS Stirling Glacial Unscented ASB B&M Arctique AS Splash OMG, has anyone ever tried shaving with their eyes almost closed? Well, that’s exactly what I had to do with the Glacial Black Cherry’s lather on my face because that soap has such intense menthol that it not only feels like a -25 Celsius wind blowing on you, it also makes your eyes tear like crazy. The scent is a delight, the lather is so rich, slick, as well as frigid, and it gives such wonderful skincare. The Glacial Unscented balm is also plenty cold with fabulous moisturizing and not only does the Arctique freeze the crap out of you, it also smells beautiful. This shave was a three pass BBS work of art! Have a great week!
