OK... while catching up on pages and pages of posts, I guess I hit MQ a few times without knowing it. I think I will just leave those there for no reason.

    Happy Easter everyone!

I shaved with it last night before work and it's a real treat. Loaded with a feather, I think I could shave the peach fuzz off an amoeba.

I hope you have better luck with the Red IP's than I have had. To me, they're nothing special. There seems to be a decent amount of tugging on the hairs and it's not been an enjoyable shave with them. I've tried them in a Gillette SS Red tip, the Tech, and the Merkur HD and they've left me regretting the shave in each.

I've stocked up on 100 Derbys (I have good luck with them), 100 Astras, and 100 Feathers. I think that takes care of all my blade needs without any worries about my face not agreeing with some random blade I've never tried before.

Yup. Happy Easter to all my peeps. Hope you all are enjoying a lazy day w/ the familia. I usually end up working on Easter and today is no exception. I think I'll be getting home early enough to enjoy some of the day however so that is good.

With respect to all the blade talk, I searched for several months looking for THE blade. the Red IP was my go to for quite awhile, but once I switched to the 7'o blacks from Gillette there was no going back. A very sharp blade that holds it's edge through several shaves and isn't as harsh as a Feather. They're not cheap but are worth the pennies.

btw I have a Fatboy on the way from an ebay auction. Can't believe I finally won something over there at a decent price. That about does it. I can't think of anything else I really need or want right now. The monkey truly has moved on. Enjoy his company Dom!

    FYI

I just caught up on mod stuff. There is now a 25 post/30 day minimum in effect on the BST. Current sales are ok. Future threads must comply.

    Happy Easter everyone!!!

Fuzzy, thanks for hitting our house last night, my son was very grateful. Wabbit must be tired.

So what is going on? I am getting ready to send out another batch of cream samples and then I will only have like 4 or 5 people left. Don't have many scents left to offer but at least they will get to try something.

Bought a used futur the other day and tried it yesterday. Not a fan. It is like shaving with a spaceship. Too big for me and feels weird in my hands. Gonna list it in the next few days for sale.

Happy Easter everybody! Glad to see the new limits in the BST, Shep.

Man, I should have hung around last night - lot's going on for a change. Lazy day for me (doing my taxes, finally). Hope to get some pen time in, maybe after our afternoon supper (Ham, taters, green bean casserole - yum). Looking forward to a shower and shave before I get rolling on the numbers.

Hey Tracy, looking forward to the samples. That's a very gracious thing you did for all of us - Thanks! Glad to hear your impressions on the Futur. They do look pretty cool and they're heavy (good things). I guess I'll save my dough and put it towards some old beat up razor instead.

You're kind of my mentor for modern razors. Do you like Slants? I picked one up a couple of weeks ago and am still trying to decide if I like it or not. Been running Feathers in it and need to try a 7 O'clock Black. I find there's a lot of variability in blade placement, and that I have to align things pretty carefully before tightening the head down. Is this true of most Merkurs?
