It's hard to tell....the underside is a much darker color than the upper area. I do see something just underneath the knot area-but hard to figure out what it is. Looks like a wheel barrel. Something is inside it....maybe THAT is the crown. But yes, this brush has done me well. The Spindle Duro Tali.

No, I took this pic in a parking lot. I don't know what it is, but it isn't the LIRR.

Like Danny, I want to try Tobac, but I have enough soaps to last me for years.

I was in serious contemplation on things that needed to be addressed. I usually don't smile in my pictures and to be quite honest, I do not like people to take pictures of me unless it is a group picture.

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

Final numbers are in and WHOA!! Did we ever chat it up in August. We ended with 415 pages and an incredible total of 8284 posts. That's 413 over our past record which was in March this year. That averages 267 posts a day for August, so when people say they are a couple hundred behind - yeah - it doesn't take long.

We have added some newbs to the fold already this month and the reception you guys are giving these guys is amazing, fantastic, and just exactly what we do here. Once again, thanks for all you do here to make this the most knowledgeable, friendly and fun place to learn and talk shaving anywhere on the interwebs.

Over 120 posts and it's no even noon here????
Good Sunday morning all, and happy SEptember. I have a few razors to try out so I went DE today. First up, introducing a Red Tip with a new Feather blade installed. Not the prettiest thing in the den, but strong and sound. 2 passes for the mug, the guy I bought this from has a beard now so no need for it. Great shaver, I'm clean and smooth, no issue's with this guy.
Next up, a real brush hog, 1919 style 3 piece OC Gillette. Not well groomed, has 2 bent teeth but a wicked work horse. This baby cuts down the brush and just keeps going. Paired with a new Feather blade, what a combination. 2 passes on the gord, this mowing's gonna last all day. SN/ K 82966, I had originally missed the K till it showed up after the cleaning. Might hook it up to the PTO and cut the field with it later. ;)
Scraped the ear where the glasses sit, no blood, just irritating. That will teach me to clean off the fog on the mirror while someone's taking a shower, don't just bend over to see where I'm at, dummy. Would have done better if I had just stood up and done it blind.
Stirling Spice, not my favorite sent, a strong last all day thing though.

Finished off with Nivea to keep the skin well throughout the day.
    All
    Enjoy
