You don't even want to get me started on slants:D. Love them. I only own 3 of them. 3 slants, 1 Mergress and 1 Progress. That is where I am going to stop. I wanted to try the futur because a lot of people talk highly of them. It shaved ok, not bad in any way, just not great. So I have fulfilled my curiosity and now I will sell it.

The slant is the only razor I have to watch when replacing a blade. Nothing hard or finicky but you do have to make sure it is even.

Gotta run everyone. The boy has another Easter egg hunt to attend.

It's been a couple months since I've used the slant. Been testing other razors for awhile. I need to load it up and give it a twirl around the dance floor this week. I've missed her.

I finished off a sample of Connaughts cream the other day. I had forgotten it takes less water. Ended up with a thin(ner), soupy mix. Still shaved ok, but not perfect. Any of you getting samples from Tracy keep this in mind.

Thanks, Tracy. It helps to know that my slant isn't odd because of the blade placement. The Mergress looks/sounds like an awesome razor. Might have to try to hunt one down someday. Hope the easter egg hunting was as fun as it sounds. I can remember hiding eggs in the backyard for my kids and then spending the rest of the day (after they found them once) putting them back out there so they could find them again. They loved doing that.

Good to know - thanks, Shep. So what did you try and how did you like it?

I have been sidetracked a bit lately. I haven't used my slant since the week it arrived. Been too busy with R89, new handle from BRW, and the Rolls Razors. Used a RR again yesterday afternoon. It makes for a nice afternoon shave.

Yesterday took daughter to lunch and then several antique stores and we climbed Mt. Baldy (largest Sand dune on the south shore of Lake Michigan).

If you look real close, that is Chicago straight across the lake. It was a cell phone pic, so it didn't come out the best.

Didn't get any shaving stuff, didn't see any pens. But had fun with the daughter who spent her allowance. Then we had Culvers and came home and worked on eggs most of the evening. Today has been mostly peaceful. Church parking lot was a zoo but otherwise it has been a good day.

Now, just to veg out and avoid doing any work. Gonna pop in Tale Of Desperaux when daughter gets off the phone with Grandma... and then maybe I will play some Diablo 2.....

Shep, I can't say that I had any problems with the Connought cream. But I did go dry I guess.

Cool pic Justin....how far is it to Chicago going straight across?

Don't remember. It's a sample Tracy sent me several months ago, and I just got around to finishing it.

Just making sure (or trying to) that folks are dedicated members before they attempt to peddle their wares on the rest of us. Hopefully it weeds out the sharks, though we have a few of those IMO regardless of posts or time. Won't go there however.

Chicago was about 30 to 35 miles straight across Lake Michigan from there. Mt. Baldy is actually closer to Michigan than Illinois.

Picture doesn't show it but there were white caps on the waves (we have had 12+ foot waves a lot lately). It was quite a bit windy, there was a paraglider hovering off of Mt. Baldy just riding the lake breezes.

oh it was so awesome though. The only problem is one of the ships I blew up was ours so now we have no ship. Which honestly isn't much trouble for anybody but our pirate who thinks everything we get belongs to him.

Oh... it's all clear now. Take the limbing saw to Tanya, then throw her in the fireplace - that is, if you can still walk. Hope you're okay!
