It's going to be one of those days here? At 3 in the afternoon I'm reading 6 AM posts and I'm almost 200 behind.

For the New 30DC members this is referred to as a Shavette Fu Mulitquote Post. While back a guy joined us, participated for a short while, and moved on. That wasn't his name, but it's what we called him in our most endearing way. The Multiquote was a recently added feature here at TSD and he used it to full function. So I've already seen I'll forget why I was quoting posts before I catch up to "real time" conversation. Hence a ShavetteFu on you. If you don't like Wall-O-Text and I didn't quote you feel free to move on to the next post!

I didn't lock down August until 2:08 AM local time (US Central). The last previous post was over three hours prior. It was time to move on!

Gotcha - you shifted from a Rule to a Focus. That's perfectly cromulent. Trying different tools seeking to improve your shave is time honored tradition here.

My precise thought as applies to badger knots. I've been told some of the high end badgers aren't this way, but I think it's an Enabling move to get me researching Simpson brushes. The weird part is now They all own Chubby2's with synthetic knots...

We're a crowd of mostly friendly goof balls. Some are goofier than others and specific shaving knowledge is kind of a Group Think Hive Mind. Sometimes the discussion gets animated, but ultimately the goal is to help folks get their best shaves.

We do tend to get on a first name basis. With folks coming and going I couldn't keep up so I started a text file on my laptop. It's only screen names and first names. Nothing NSA would care to snoop around in. I hope. Neal's Russian Blade Cartel may have snaked a copy back when I was a Member. Now that I'm a Mod I've hardened my infrastructure.

Just my opinion but I find my chosen brush to be about as much of a variable as the chosen blade, which isn't much. Like blades I do have preferences from one brush to another but since I figured out what I'm looking for in a lather I can make that same lather with anyone of the brushes in my ever growing collection. I did spend my first few months wet shaving alternating between my SOC badger and SOC boar almost exclusively.

Time to check on the ribs.
