    14/30.

    Synth again.

I am going to finish this out with the synth. In hindsight i shouldn't have chose the 404. It was a unworkable soap/brush pairing. Not that it has been a waste of time though, I have learned that the right brush/soap combo is as important as the blade/razor combo.

I haven't used a synth brush for a while. I have been using a number of boar brushes and i forgot just how good the synths are. If you want only one brush, just get a synth and be done forever.

Great shave today. I focused on the face lathering somewhat and really got a great, rich lather in no time. I tried to hydrate as much as i could so that i could bring out the slickness in the soap but its just not there imho. This holds back the shave i feel. Its an odd soap for sure. Now that i have the right brush i can focus on the soap, see what i can get out of it. I might switch to the bowl tomorrow and follow @RyX go-to when he struggles with the lather.

I might also see about stretching the blade out, see how many usable shaves i can get and what happens when the blade dulls. I have always wondered what the blade knights are doing to get 100's of shaves from one blade.

Sorry about the wound, Neal. If you are going to strop an original blade, do you need the blade holder? I have one that I don't need.

Sounds like things are lining up for you. I use synthetics most the time and always bowl lather. Have a great day and I am glad you stuck to your non blooming ways.

Agreed! However, it just might be possible that seller may have unintentionally misplaced the decimal. Even at 27.5 pounds which is approximately 33 dollars, the price is outrageous. 10 dollars should be the maximum asking price.

I would think the blade knights should stick to stretching their skin and not the truth.

@Terry's the only guy I know that keeps a scrap metal dumpster for used blade storage outside his shave den window.
