I really like the SubZero A/S I got. All the TSD A/S I have picked up work great. Not so sure on the Vetiver scent, but having never tried anything Vetiver, I can't say if the smell is accurate. It could be exactly what Vetiver is supposed to smell like.

 

Is this a homestar runner reference? 'cause if it is, then I'm not alone...

 

I figured with it being on the EO list that it was the good stuff. So now I know what authentic Vetiver smells like.

My wife doesn't like the scent... she claims it smells like an old basement. I am not sure yet. I don't know that I have actually used it yet. I would have to go back through all my SOS posts to find out...

Smells like campfire and wet clothes to me, not my fave scent.

Great time at the Buccos home opener. They actually won! (I'd never been to a victorious home opener at PNC until today.) Still a little somber at the news of the passings of Harry Kalas and Mark Fidrych.

Well, what say ye? Yeah, I know the knot is a little small in proportion, it's just standing in for now. It's a burma-shave knot. Although, the more I look at it, the more I like it. I've got some dark cherry stain that I'm thinking of staining the handle with. You can't tell from this picture, but it's a little oblong on the base... at first I was disappointed, but in retrospect, I kind of like how it feels in my hand..

 

Very nice... makes me want to go buy that drill powered lathe!

 

Ye says.... it's tough to tell without an object like a mug or something to reference, but that handle looks way too tall for my tastes. Although I haven't used a handle that tall, so maybe my taste will like it better.....I think the dark cherry stain will look beautiful on that, and I also think you did a great job turning it... :happy088 What type of wood is it?

 

Micah, very nice work! What do you plan to seal it with? Have you drilled for the knot yet? Keep us updated with pictures!
