    Keithmax Breeds Pet Rocks

    Coatings are for blade glide, so when we hone a straight we have to get both glide and sharp. I think we sometimes mistake glide for sharpness. I will have some SE DE shaves to compare too.

    I have the earlier version of the Star which has lower blade stops. The blade was seated against them, but was slightly misaligned leaving a corner just barely sticking out.

    Good Tuesday morning all.
    Nice that this months theme is SE's.
    Getting me aware that there are tools that I haven't used for a while.
    This morning's shave was the same software, different razor. I'm using my American Sarety Razor, Ever Ready flip top razor with the "lift here" top. A new Personna GEM blade and a great shave. Two passes on the face, two passes on the head. I'm smooth and clean ready for the day.

    Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Personna Ultra Chrome
    Razor: Schick L5 'Revere'
    Brush: Ever Ready 100T restored badger
    Soap: Stirling Green
    Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Green aftershave

    Nice and easy shave with Stirling Green and the Revere injector. Creamy, slick Stirling lather as expected with usual top-notch post shave feel. Going to be a good month of shaves.
