It is actually a little tall... I'll probably sand the base down a bit which should make it a little smaller.

The wood is good ol' yeller pine.

Yeah, I drilled it out, but I futzed it a little... wasn't patient enough to wait until I got to a drill press, so it's a little wobbled out, but I think it'll be okay. I'm not sure what I'll seal it with, or if I'll even completely finish it... I might just consider it a prototype and try to use nicer stuff for the next one.

Hiya Bong - Good to have you back!

Hey everyone else - hope you're all doing well today. I had a long day of work followed by a freaky doctor's visit. Trying to find a new family doc where I'm living now, but the going is slow. The guy I saw today actually said to me "I'm not sure I want to work with you". Hmmmm... I'm not really that much of a jerk, am I? He was so completely detached he didn't even make much sense. Oh well, if at first you don't succeed.... I'm sure there's a good doctor around here somewhere.

Had a code read on the car at NAPA afterwards (for free) and met a really nice guy that owns the little local NAPA store. Just a bad O2 sensor (isn't that what it always is?); it should cost about $50 + 10 min of labor to get it replaced. The nice part is that they actually did it for free (vs. $72 at one of the shops I called). And who suggested I call NAPA? Why, my dear wife, of course - she's the best!

Hi Tom, I don't recall ever needing to see a doc when I was in Pullman, the only Doc I saw on the east side was an allergist, but he was in Spokane.

I have never had a doc say he/she didn't want to work with me, that seems pretty unprofessional. Did you forget to use deodorant today??? :D

Good deal on the car fixin, small towns do have their advantages

Nope, and I even shaved this morning. Maybe he was just an AV hater :happy102

Seriously, I'm glad my wife went with me. When we walked out, she said "I almost just got up and jerked you out of there when he said that". God, I love her! There's a good family doc around here somewhere, I'm sure. Had a similar experience in Spokane 15 years ago, but not quite as horrific as this. Wound up with a great doc when all was said and done.

My son learned a great lesson a couple of years ago when he had some big honkin' kidney stones. After the emergency room visit and ultrasound, we went to a Urologist who was one of those "center of the known universe" kind of guys. I'll leave out most of the gory details, but this guy couldn't have been more rude and his best guess for when this might be operable was about 6-8 weeks. He suggested that a couple of 7mm stones might be okay to just let pass on their own  (don't think about that too long - it'll make you queasy).

We got home and I asked my son, "So, what did you think of him?". He didn't like him much, but he though he was 'smart'. My wife got wind of what had happened and we were in to see a different doc the next day - they pulverized the stones about 3 days later. No pain, nice people, great experience.

But, enough of that. How the heck are you, Bong?

That is a good looking brush handle. I would like one similar to that in a light finish. I am thinking that a longer handle might be nice at times.

Had breakfast for supper.. yummy . I really enjoy that at times.

Cawwat scented shave stuff.. hummm not sure about that one.:D

My favorite dinner is breakfast. I knew you were a smart guy!

And the EO is cawwat seed scented. Supposed to be "woodsy". Hmmm....

I'm going to be quiet and behave about cawwat EO. :shocked002 no bad comments from me, nope.

I dunno why, that razor is readily obtainable even by someone with little cash. The new DE user may not be looking at vintage shave gear like we do.

I'm thinking about my granddad's '48 SS, Williams, and maybe a Dorco. Will have to burn through this 7 O'B first, though...

Wow, a whole day of me time... very cool. Enjoy that! - 'night, Matt.

It's always hard for me to put away a razor (or a pen) even for a week. Silly, but true.

Having leftover ham sammiches for dinner tonight - not exactly breakfast, but still pretty darned good.

Thanks, Fuzzy. It's good to be back home.

I'll report my findings once I use them.

Ah. Thanks for the info. I've never had a problem with that before. Guess I'm lucky.

Nope. Did it without breaking the bottle. I was determined to get it out without harming the bottle. Was probably bored. Or just really curious.

    Thanks, guys.

Hey Bong. Nice to see you back.

Crazy, huh? Now everyone is into pens.

    BRINNER!!! Yum-O!
