Wednesday Shave: Yesterday I used a 1/4 hollow Brian Brown razor and today's razor is a 7/8 Hart Steel with a beefy 3/4 grind.

Initial 2 passes: The Brian Brown (1/4) felt sharper than the Hart (3/4). The BB was also louder while the Hart doesn't make much noise at all.

The ATG on the chin and upper lip: Both these razors went through the toughest stubble easily. To me they are equally sharp while the perception is that the BB is sharper.

Last razor in the junk lot. This may be a single ring. I need Gary @brit to identify this one. The razor does not have a serial number. I put a quick polish on the razor but I did not want to take too much off. I cut a piece of aluminum tubing and trued the ends up in a small lathe. I then pressed one end onto the base plate. I then proceeded to straighten teeth out which was nerve racking because I was afraid of breaking one. She ain't the prettiest razor but she has character. Another razor saved to shave another day!

 

Yes, it is and I am going to make sure that I keep it. There are a few possible CT's that I think are appropriate based on your name. They are Goldfinger, ArgoMan, GoldLover and The Greek. The first 3 deals with the Argonauts myth. I like ArgoMan because it plays off the Arko soap. The Greek doesn't need any explanation. As for Keith, he's more difficult to figure out for a CT. Since he lives in S. Korea. and has a beautiful set of straight razors coupled with a vast knowledge of this hobby, then I propose that he should be given the CT, StraightRazor Sensei (Teacher).

 

I just made a few recommendations.

 

I like the StraightRazor Sensei, but you have some honing stones, Keith! Lol!
