Thank you Jim. All the leaves are falling early because of the heat. I am so ready for fall.

Thank you Joseph. Your recommendation on Mike's Lavender and Mike's Bay Rum were spot on. I am just feeling lazy today.

Residual slickness is a game changer & a deciding factor on if I really like a soap. Joe @Trigger might have given me the clue to short, repeated, overlapping passes to better get stubborn stubble. Joseph @Primotenore is an advocate of buffing with a DE. To do it with less irritation requires multiple passes of an area and we don't always reapply lather. That soap needs to leave a little slickness.

I'm not sure how you'll take this idea - Have you ever mixed two soaps in one lather? I've found products like Cremo Shave Cream mixed with other soaps does give that lagniappe, that little something extra to reduce irritation and increase residual slickness. I think it's why some enjoy preshave oils but I've yet to find one that suits me.

Guys, I had mention the Triumph Triple Speed a while back. I was mistaken the bike I was refering to is the Rocket III. The new III has went to 2500 CCs of fun and 163 lb-ft.

    ROCKET 3 IN NUMBERS

    2500 CC ENGINE
Class-defining triple performance from the largest production motorcycle engine in the world.

    163 LB-FT PEAK TORQUE
The highest torque of any production motorcycle, delivered across the entire rev range in one smooth and seamless flow.

    165 HP PEAK POWER
Thrilling performance with peak power that is 11% up on the previous generation Rocket.

    88 LB LIGHTER
A transformation in handling capability is delivered by major weight savings achieved by an all-new aluminum frame and premium cast and forged components.

That's a lesson each person has to learn. Chasing The Baby doesn't always lead to overshaving but it's common enough we've agree on a term to describe it. It's hard to quit with a Socially Acceptable Shave when you've done better. Could be one of the biggest lessons we try to teach that encompasses the whole Technique ideas - learn a little each shave, get a little better but don't damage yourself thinking you have to get BBS every time.

Are you kidding? One of the granddaughters, Jenisis, has been seeing the Watch Hunt on my screen. Then she saw the new watch show up. Since the expandable band was just too tight I'd taken it off. Then I opened up a link to Atomic Time to set the exact time, and get the calendar set to the right day. She held the watch and could see each tick of the second hand matching the digital internet clock. That's when she announced."I want a watch. This one is too small for you. Can I have it?" We spent a few minutes on the (other than ebay) auction site, located another Bulova Caravelle but a Ladies size & style. That was enough to rescue my watch from her Want List. Then we found a couple NIB functional Hello Kitty watches with no bidders... I approve since they are analogue rather than digital.

It would be nice to ride a bike like that for the day. Not sure I want the weight or heat off of that engine very day. While the torque number is super impressive, the horsepower is not that good given the engine size. For example the the Street Triple at 1050cc has peak horsepower of around 140 and a dry weight around 450 lbs. My last sport touring bike had over 180 horsepower and a weight of 550 lbs.

Some of the lessons i have learned so far in my 30DR.
    • Not all brushes are suitable for all soaps.
    • If you need to bloom a soap, change the brush.
    • Learn to resist chasing the baby.
    • Poor lather=Poor shave
    • Mild razors like sharp blades
