I was inspired by a few folks yesterday to grab a Fine soap this morning and L' Orange Noir is a fave scent. Pairing it with the Arkadia for Stirling SEptember was a no brainer. Loaded a fresh Personna in the E3 as was rewarded with a close 3 pass'er. Gave myself a weeper, actually. Quite a rare occurance with an Injector, but a good reminder that thick Injector blades are plenty sharp the first couple of days for sure. These Terre d'Hermes dupes weren't met with any negative comments from SWMBO...No positive comments, either, but I will live with radio silence.
    Have a great day all!

Ooh, that is stepping into product modification territory (aka blooming) huh...

If i was desperate to make it work (or if i was poor and Arko didn't exist) i would consider it, but i have a number of soaps which have good residual slickness (and a few that don't tbh).
I like the idea of the pre-shave though. I keep eyeing up Proraso but i have yet to pull the trigger. Maybe it is time for that to change!....

    On a side note,

Is this forum sponsored by Sterling soap?

Just how many product line do they have? :happy102:

More than most cars. Wonder if you can get the extra fuel trailer option.

Id still take the Bonneville Bobber.

I have had many vintage Gillettes over the past 3 years, and have enjoyed them all. I would say, however, that this is one 'lesson' I have learned- none of them are must haves. Some I would be really bummed out to lose, but there are plenty others that work excellently too. The fat handled Tech you mentioned is a well-respected, well-made effective tool. I love mine, but if I broke it, I'd choke back a tear as I grabbed a NEW or OT or NI and went to town on another awesome shave.

Thank you Gentlemen! Soon as daughter gets back from delivering the birthday cupcakes to her son's Pre-K class, we'll be going for a visit. Between prayers and modern medicine we're doing all the right things.
Verily. My parents were raised by theirs that were young adults during The Great Depression. They don't spend a penny unless it's necessary.
They had mom on an IV and antibiotic last night. Dad did say the urine sample showed signs of "other than optimal". Lab results will fine tune and allow adjustment of medication if needed. That side effect of being reluctant to talk to doctors took her mother. "It's just a little pain" turned into fatal consequences that might have been averted or dealt with. Big part of me returning to my home town is being available to help out the old folks. I'll be one soon enough and I need to set the example for these younger generations following along.

Fabulous photo and lineup Jason. Love the warm tones of the photo. It is hard to go wrong with the Fine L'Orange Noir.

    Well I Bloomed the brush.

When the Blue Ming showed up he was really miffed at my slight and started his usual rant.

Can you imagine a guy like that telling me.. Max Headroom... that I must be sitting down to P just because I didn't put water on the soap. Hmmph!
