You guys have lost me with all the engine displacements, torque specs, and HP. My Bride and I choose to keep it simple. We're happy with the Wing. Whenever we stop for a picnic, she invites me to sit with her. And if she gets a little testy during a ride, I threaten to disconnect the side car.

It's not blooming, Joseph. It's product modification. ;)

But, OK, OK, back to your point. No wedding receptions, then. Can I pencil you in for a barn dance and some after-dinner crooning at a skeet shoot? I always wondered by those guys were called the Winchester Warblers. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to sing along. Hey, maybe we can charge extra for singing lessons. :D

What can you tell me about this vintage timepiece, for it has caught my eye:

That'll boost posts by a couple hundred before midnight.

A few words of wisdom 'tween you and me on the culture 'round here. It's expected to poke fun at Clubman. I'm not sure about Stirling Soaps (except that Gentleman stuff that @jtspartan's Bride mass emailed us about.) Rumor has it that we're surrounded by a few fan boys.

I am particularly jealous of the Orange soap and scent set posted earlier today. I would buy that in a heartbeat.

My local soapmaker has 1 shaving oil and a peppermint and lime soap and that is it. :(

I would also have his new brush.

In fact i would be skint very quickly so you can keep him lol.

To bloom, or not to bloom, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the den to suffer
The slings and arrows of opposing latherers,
Or to take arms against a sea of opinions
And by opposing end them. To bloom — or not,
No more; and by a brush and soap we end
The heart-ache and lather the way we want.

Another great shave in the books. It's hard to put the Slim away, it has been that good and fun to use.

We are having a fun week getting some 90-day punch list items completed on the house. We had a ground fault one of our electrical circuits, and the electricians located a spot where a nail had been driven straight through the wire. We are very thankful that they identified this problem before it turned into something much worse, like a fire. He's coming back tomorrow morning (when it is cool to be in the attic) to pull a replacement wire for the one that was damaged.

Our fire alarm sounded three times for no reason over the weekend (not related to the wiring issue), and I believe our electrician figured that out for us as well.

I went through my suits and jackets today. These are the ones that I had accumulated during my last few years of work as my weight bounced around. I found a dark suit that I purchased last summer that could wrap around me twice. I donated it, hoping that it would benefit someone in need of a job interview. I have an older dark suit and a Navy jacket that now fit me fine. (I don't wear suits or jackets often, but it's good to know I have a couple that are ready to go.) I have another jacket that nearly fits (one that I really like) and a couple more that could be tailored to fit. I couldn't bear to get rid of them today, but I may eventually.

Sadly, I have no seersucker suits. I hang my head in shame.

When the weather turns cooler and I start wearing long sleeves again to church, I'll go through my dress shirts again. I did this as I was losing weight, but I expect a few more shirts can be donated now. All things considered, I've probably eliminated half the clothes in my closet over the past year. I just don't need that many clothes in retirement, and it's good to know that I can wear most everything. Another reason to maintain my weight. :)

I hope you all had a great day!
