    Definitely check the razor. If you are riding the cap, then it is certainly possible the razor is damaged, or maybe it wasn't tightened down fully. I have a flare tip Rocket on which the doors loosen as I shave. Maybe this is happening to you?

    i have found some soaps to be super slick at the end where buffing works well for a bbs .almost a scrub to remove said slickness after the shave..barristers,a and e,stirling are great for this ..plus others i am sure..these are my fav's ..
